New covenant and new work to rest
예레미야31장
1나 여호와가 말하노라 그 때에 내가 이스라엘 모든 가족의 하나님이 되고 그들은 내 백성이 되리라
2나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 칼에서 벗어난 백성이 광야에서 은혜를 얻었나니 곧 내가 이스라엘로 안식을 얻게 하러 갈 때에라
3나 여호와가 옛적에 이스라엘에게 나타나 이르기를 내가 무궁한 사랑으로 너를 사랑하는고로 인자함으로 너를 인도하였다 하였노라
4처녀 이스라엘아 내가 다시 너를 세우리니 네가 세움을 입을 것이요 네가 다시 소고로 너를 장식하고 즐거운 무리처럼 춤추며 나올 것이며
5네가 다시 사마리아 산들에 포도원을 심되 심는 자가 심고 그 과실을 먹으리라
6에브라임산 위에서 파숫군이 외치는 날이 이를 것이라 이르기를 너희는 일어나라 우리가 시온에 올라가서 우리 하나님 여호와께로 나아가자 하리라
7나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 너희는 야곱을 위하여 기뻐 노래하며 만국의 머리 된 자를 위하여 외쳐 전파하며 찬양하며 이르기를 여호와여 주의 백성 이스라엘의 남은 자를 구원하소서 하라
8보라 내가 그들을 북편 땅에서 인도하며 땅 끝에서부터 모으리니 그들 중에는 소경과 절뚝발이와 잉태한 여인과 해산하는 여인이 함께하여 큰 무리를 이루어 이곳으로 돌아오되
9울며 올 것이며 그들이 나의 인도함을 입고 간구할 때에 내가 그들로 넘어지지 아니하고 하숫가의 바른 길로 행하게 하리라 나는 이스라엘의 아비요 에브라임은 나의 장자니라
10열방이여 너희는 나 여호와의 말을 듣고 먼 섬에 전파하여 이르기를 이스라엘을 흩으신 자가 그를 모으시고 목자가 그 양무리에게 행함 같이 그를 지키시리로다
11여호와께서 야곱을 속량하시되 그들보다 강한 자의 손에서 구속하셨으니
12그들이 와서 시온의 높은 곳에서 찬송하며 여호와의 은사 곧 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름과 어린 양의 떼와 소의 떼에 모일 것이라 그 심령은 물댄 동산 같겠고 다시는 근심이 없으리로다 할찌어다
13그 때에 처녀는 춤추며 즐거워하겠고 청년과 노인이 함께 즐거워하리니 내가 그들의 슬픔을 돌이켜 즐겁게 하며 그들을 위로하여 근심한 후에 기쁨을 얻게 할것임이니라
14내가 기름으로 제사장들의 심령에 흡족케 하며 내 은혜로 내 백성에게 만족케 하리라 여호와의 말이니라
15나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 라마에서 슬퍼하며 통곡하는 소리가 들리니 라헬이 그 자식을 위하여 애곡하는 것이라 그가 자식이 없으므로 위로 받기를 거절하는도다
16나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 네 소리를 금하여 울지 말며 네 눈을 금하여 눈물을 흘리지 말라 네 일에 갚음을 받을 것인즉 그들이 그 대적의 땅에서 돌아오리라 여호와의 말이니라
17나 여호와가 말하노라 너의 최후에 소망이 있을 것이라 너의 자녀가 자기들의 경내로 돌아오리라
18에브라임이 스스로 탄식함을 내가 정녕히 들었노니 이르기를 주께서 나를 징벌하시매 멍에에 익숙지 못한 송아지 같은 내가 징벌을 받았나이다 주는 나의 하나님 여호와시니 나를 이끌어 돌이키소서 그리하시면 내가 돌아오겠나이다
19내가 돌이킴을 받은 후에 뉘우쳤고 내가 교훈을 받은 후에 내 볼기를 쳤사오니 이는 어렸을 때의 치욕을 진고로 부끄럽고 욕됨이니이다 하도다
20에브라임은 나의 사랑하는 아들 기뻐하는 자식이 아니냐 내가 그를 책망하여 말할 때마다 깊이 생각하노라 그러므로 그를 위하여 내 마음이 측은한즉 내가 반드시 그를 긍휼히 여기리라 여호와의 말이니라
21처녀 이스라엘아 너를 위하여 길표를 세우며 너를 위하여 표목을 만들고 대로 곧 네가 전에 가던길에 착념하라 돌아오라 네 성읍들로 돌아오라
22패역한 딸아 네가 어느 때까지 방황하겠느냐 여호와가 새 일을 세상에 창조하였나니 곧 여자가 남자를 안으리라
23나 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말하노라 내가 그 사로잡힌 자를 돌아오게 할 때에 그들이 유다 땅과 그 성읍들에서 다시 이 말을 쓰리니 곧 의로운 처소여, 거룩한 산이여, 여호와께서 네게 복 주시기를 원하노라 할 것이며
24유다와 그 모든 성읍의 농부와 양떼를 인도하는 자가 거기 함께 거하리니
25이는 내가 그 피곤한 심령을 만족케 하며 무릇 슬픈 심령을 상쾌케 하였음이니라 하시기로
26내가 깨어보니 내 잠이 달았더라
27여호와께서 가라사대 보라 내가 사람의 씨와 짐승의 씨를 이스라엘 집과 유다 집에 뿌릴 날이 이르리니
28내가 경성하여 그들을 뽑으며 훼파하며 전복하며 멸하며 곤란케 하던것 같이 경성하여 그들을 세우며 심으리라 여호와의 말이니라
29그 때에 그들이 다시는 이르기를 아비가 신 포도를 먹었으므로 아들들의 이가 시다 하지 아니하겠고
30신 포도를 먹는 자마다 그 이가 심 같이 각기 자기 죄악으로만 죽으리라
31나 여호와가 말하노라 보라 날이 이르리니 내가 이스라엘 집과 유다 집에 새 언약을 세우리라
32나 여호와가 말하노라 이 언약은 내가 그들의 열조의 손을 잡고 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내던 날에 세운것과 같지 아니할 것은 내가 그들의 남편이 되었어도 그들이 내 언약을 파하였음이니라
33나 여호와가 말하노라 그러나 그 날 후에 내가 이스라엘 집에 세울 언약은 이러하니 곧 내가 나의 법을 그들의 속에 두며 그 마음에 기록하여 나는 그들의 하나님이 되고 그들은 내 백성이 될것이라
34그들이 다시는 각기 이웃과 형제를 가리켜 이르기를 너는 여호와를 알라 하지 아니하리니 이는 작은 자로부터 큰 자까지 다 나를 앎이니라 내가 그들의 죄악을 사하고 다시는 그 죄를 기억지 아니하리라 여호와의 말이니라
35나 여호와는 해를 낮의 빛으로 주었고 달과 별들을 밤의 빛으로 규정하였고 바다를 격동시켜 그 파도로 소리치게 하나니 내 이름은 만군의 여호와니라 내가 말하노라
36이 규정이 내 앞에서 폐할찐대 이스라엘 자손도 내 앞에서 폐함을 입어 영영히 나라가 되지 못하리라
37나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 위로 하늘을 측량할 수 있으며 아래로 땅의 기초를 탐지할 수 있다면 내가 이스라엘 자손의 행한 모든 일을 인하여 그들을 다 버리리라 여호와의 말이니라
38나 여호와가 말하노라 보라, 날이 이르리니 이 성을 하나넬 망대에서부터 모퉁이 문까지 여호와를 위하여 건축할 것이라
39측량줄이 곧게 가렙산에 이르고 고아 방면으로 돌아
40시체와 재의 골짜기와 기드론 시내에 이르는데까지와 동편 말문 모퉁이에 이르기까지의 모든 밭에 이르리니 다 여호와의 성지가 되고 영영히 다시는 뽑히거나 전복되지 아니하리라
Jeremiah31
1'At that time,' declares the LORD, 'I will be the God of all the clans of Israel, and they will be my people.'
2This is what the LORD says: 'The people who survive the sword will find favor in the desert; I will come to give rest to Israel.'
3The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: 'I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.
4I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel. Again you will take up your tambourines and go out to dance with the joyful.
5Again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria; the farmers will plant them and enjoy their fruit.
6There will be a day when watchmen cry out on the hills of Ephraim, 'Come, let us go up to Zion, to the LORD our God.' "
7This is what the LORD says: "Sing with joy for Jacob; shout for the foremost of the nations. Make your praises heard, and say, 'O LORD, save your people, the remnant of Israel.'
8See, I will bring them from the land of the north and gather them from the ends of the earth. Among them will be the blind and the lame, expectant mothers and women in labor; a great throng will return.
9They will come with weeping; they will pray as I bring them back. I will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble, because I am Israel's father, and Ephraim is my firstborn son.
10"Hear the word of the LORD, O nations; proclaim it in distant coastlands: 'He who scattered Israel will gather them and will watch over his flock like a shepherd.'
11For the LORD will ransom Jacob and redeem them from the hand of those stronger than they.
12They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion; they will rejoice in the bounty of the LORD-the grain, the new wine and the oil, the young of the flocks and herds. They will be like a well-watered garden, and they will sorrow no more.
13Then maidens will dance and be glad, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.
14I will satisfy the priests with abundance, and my people will be filled with my bounty,' declares the LORD.
15This is what the LORD says: 'A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because her children are no more.'
16This is what the LORD says: 'Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded,' declares the LORD. 'They will return from the land of the enemy.
17So there is hope for your future,' declares the LORD. 'Your children will return to their own land.
18"I have surely heard Ephraim's moaning: 'You disciplined me like an unruly calf, and I have been disciplined. Restore me, and I will return, because you are the LORD my God.
19After I strayed, I repented; after I came to understand, I beat my breast. I was ashamed and humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth.'
20Is not Ephraim my dear son, the child in whom I delight? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him,' declares the LORD.
21'Set up road signs; put up guideposts. Take note of the highway, the road that you take. Return, O Virgin Israel, return to your towns.
22How long will you wander, O unfaithful daughter? The LORD will create a new thing on earth-a woman will surround a man.'
23This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "When I bring them back from captivity, the people in the land of Judah and in its towns will once again use these words: 'The LORD bless you, O righteous dwelling, O sacred mountain.'
24People will live together in Judah and all its towns-farmers and those who move about with their flocks.
25I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.'
26At this I awoke and looked around. My sleep had been pleasant to me.
27'The days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when I will plant the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the offspring of men and of animals.
28Just as I watched over them to uproot and tear down, and to overthrow, destroy and bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant,' declares the LORD.
29"In those days people will no longer say, 'The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge.'
30Instead, everyone will die for his own sin; whoever eats sour grapes-his own teeth will be set on edge.
31'The time is coming,' declares the LORD, 'when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
32It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them,' declares the LORD.
33'This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,' declares the LORD. 'I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
34No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the LORD. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
35This is what the LORD says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar-the LORD Almighty is his name:
36'Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,' declares the LORD, 'will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before me.'
37This is what the LORD says: 'Only if the heavens above can be measured and the foundations of the earth below be searched out will I reject all the descendants of Israel because of all they have done,' declares the LORD.
38'The days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when this city will be rebuilt for me from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.
39The measuring line will stretch from there straight to the hill of Gareb and then turn to Goah.
40The whole valley where dead bodies and ashes are thrown, and all the terraces out to the Kidron Valley on the east as far as the corner of the Horse Gate, will be holy to the LORD. The city will never again be uprooted or demolished.'

예레미야30장
1여호와께로서 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하여 이르시니라
2이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이같이 일러 가라사대 내가 네게 이른 모든 말을 책에 기록하라
3나 여호와가 말하노라 내가 내 백성 이스라엘과 유다의 포로를 돌이킬 때가 이르리니 내가 그들을 그 열조에게 준 땅으로 돌아오게 할 것이라 그들이 그것을 차지하리라 여호와의 말이니라
4여호와께서 이스라엘과 유다에 대하여 하신 말씀이 이러하니라
5여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 우리가 떨리는 소리를 들으니 두려움이요 평안함이 아니로다
6너희는 자식을 해산하는 남자가 있는가 물어보라 남자마다 해산하는 여인 같이 손으로 각기 허리를 짚고 그 얼굴 빛이 창백하여 보임은 어찜이뇨
7슬프다 그 날이여 비할데 없이 크니 이는 야곱의 환난의 때가 됨이로다마는 그가 이에서 구하여냄을 얻으리로다
8만군의 여호와가 말하노라 그 날에 내가 네 목에서 그 멍에를 꺾어버리며 네 줄을 끊으리니 이방인이 다시는 너를 부리지 못할 것이며
9너희는 너희 하나님 나 여호와를 섬기며 내가 너희를 위하여 일으킬 너희 왕 다윗을 섬기리라
10그러므로 나 여호와가 말하노라 내 종 야곱아 두려워 말라 이스라엘아 놀라지 말라 내가 너를 원방에서 구원하고 네 자손을 포로된 땅에서 구원하리니 야곱이 돌아와서 태평과 안락을 얻을 것이라 너를 두렵게 할 자 없으리라
11나 여호와가 말하노라 내가 너와 함께하여 너를 구원할 것이라 내가 너를 흩었던 그 열방은 진멸한다 할찌라도 너는 진멸하지 아니하리라 그러나 내가 공도로 너를 징책할 것이요 결코 무죄한 자로 여기지 아니하리라
12나 여호와가 말하노라 네 상처는 고칠 수 없고 네 창상은 중하도다
13네 송사를 변호할 자가 없고 네 상처를 싸맬 약이 없도다
14너를 사랑하던 자가 다 너를 잊고 찾지 아니하니 이는 네 허물이 크고 네 죄가 수다함을 인하여 내가 대적의 상하게하는 그 것으로 너를 상하게 하며 잔학한 자의 징계하는 그 것으로 너를 징계함이어늘
15어찌하여 네 상처를 인하여 부르짖느뇨 네 고통이 낫지 못하리라 네 죄악의 큼과 죄의 수다함을 인하여 내가 네게 이 일을 행하였느니라
16그러나 무릇 너를 먹는 자는 먹히며 무릇 너를 치는 자는 다 포로가 되며 너를 탈취하는 자는 탈취를 당하며 무릇 너를 약탈하는 자는 내가 그로 약탈을 당하게 하리라
17나 여호와가 말하노라 그들이 쫓겨난 자라 하며 찾는 자가 없는 시온이라 한즉 내가 너를 치료하여 네 상처를 낫게 하리라
18나 여호와가 말하노라 보라 내가 포로된 야곱의 장막들을 돌이키고 그 거하는 곳들을 긍휼히 여길 것이라 그 성읍은 자기 산에 중건 될 것이요 그 궁궐은 본래대로 거하는 곳이 될 것이며
19감사하는 소리와 즐거워하는 자의 목소리가 그 중에서 나오리라 내가 그들을 번성케 하리니 쇠잔치 아니하겠고 내가 그들을 영화롭게 하리니 비천하지 아니하겠으며
20그 자손은 여전하겠고 그 회중은 내 앞에 굳게 설 것이며 무릇 그를 압박하는 자는 내가 다 벌하리라
21그 왕은 그 본족에게서 날 것이요 그 통치자는 그들 중에서 나올 것이며 내가 그를 가까이 오게 하므로 그가 내게 접근하리라 그렇지 않고 담대히 내게 접근할 자가 누구뇨 여호와의 말이니라
22너희는 내 백성이 되겠고 나는 너희 하나님이 되리라
23보라 여호와의 노가 발하여 폭풍과 회리바람처럼 악인의 머리를 칠 것이라
24나 여호와의 진노는 내 마음의 뜻한 바를 행하여 이루기까지는 쉬지 아니하나니 너희가 말일에 그것을 깨달으리라
Jeremiah30
1This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD :
2"This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.
3The days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when I will bring my people Israel and Judah back from captivity and restore them to the land I gave their forefathers to possess,' says the LORD."
4These are the words the LORD spoke concerning Israel and Judah:
5"This is what the LORD says: " 'Cries of fear are heard-terror, not peace.
6Ask and see: Can a man bear children? Then why do I see every strong man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor, every face turned deathly pale?
7How awful that day will be! None will be like it. It will be a time of trouble for Jacob, but he will be saved out of it.
8" 'In that day,' declares the LORD Almighty, 'I will break the yoke off their necks and will tear off their bonds; no longer will foreigners enslave them.
9Instead, they will serve the LORD their God and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.
10" 'So do not fear, O Jacob my servant; do not be dismayed, O Israel,' declares the LORD. 'I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security, and no one will make him afraid.
11I am with you and will save you,' declares the LORD. 'Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only with justice; I will not let you go entirely unpunished.'
12"This is what the LORD says: " 'Your wound is incurable, your injury beyond healing.
13There is no one to plead your cause, no remedy for your sore, no healing for you.
14All your allies have forgotten you; they care nothing for you. I have struck you as an enemy would and punished you as would the cruel, because your guilt is so great and your sins so many.
15Why do you cry out over your wound, your pain that has no cure? Because of your great guilt and many sins I have done these things to you.
16" 'But all who devour you will be devoured; all your enemies will go into exile. Those who plunder you will be plundered; all who make spoil of you I will despoil.
17But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the LORD, 'because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.'
18"This is what the LORD says: " 'I will restore the fortunes of Jacob's tents and have compassion on his dwellings; the city will be rebuilt on her ruins, and the palace will stand in its proper place.
19From them will come songs of thanksgiving and the sound of rejoicing. I will add to their numbers, and they will not be decreased; I will bring them honor, and they will not be disdained.
20Their children will be as in days of old, and their community will be established before me; I will punish all who oppress them.
21Their leader will be one of their own; their ruler will arise from among them. I will bring him near and he will come close to me, for who is he who will devote himself to be close to me?' declares the LORD.
22" 'So you will be my people, and I will be your God.' "
23See, the storm of the LORD will burst out in wrath, a driving wind swirling down on the heads of the wicked.
24The fierce anger of the LORD will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart. In days to come you will understand this.

예레미야29장
1선지자 예레미야가 예루살렘에서 이같은 편지를 느부갓네살이 예루살렘에서 바벨론으로 옮겨간 포로 중 남아 있는 장로들과 제사장들과 선지자들과 모든 백성에게 보내었는데
2때는 여고니야왕과 국모와 환관들과 및 유다와 예루살렘 방백들과 목공들과 철공들이 예루살렘에서 떠난 후라
3유다 왕 시드기야가 바벨론으로 보내어 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살에게로 가게 한 사반의 아들 엘라사와 힐기야의 아들 그마랴의 손에 위탁하였더라 일렀으되
4만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님 내가 예루살렘에서 바벨론으로 사로잡혀 가게 한 모든 포로에게 이같이 이르노라
5너희는 집을 짓고 거기 거하며 전원을 만들고 그 열매를 먹으라
6아내를 취하여 자녀를 생산하며 너희 아들로 아내를 취하며 너희 딸로 남편을 맞아 그들로 자녀를 생산케 하여 너희로 거기서 번성하고 쇠잔하지 않게 하라
7너희는 내가 사로잡혀 가게 한 그 성읍의 평안하기를 힘쓰고 위하여 여호와께 기도하라 이는 그 성이 평안함으로 너희도 평안할 것임이니라
8만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말하노라 너희 중 선지자들에게와 복술에게 혹하지 말며 너희가 꾼바 꿈도 신청하지 말라
9내가 그들을 보내지 아니하였어도 그들이 내 이름으로 거짓을 예언함이니라 여호와의 말이니라
10나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 바벨론에서 칠십년이 차면 내가 너희를 권고하고 나의 선한 말을 너희에게 실행하여 너희를 이곳으로 돌아오게 하리라
11나 여호와가 말하노라 너희를 향한 나의 생각은 내가 아나니 재앙이 아니라 곧 평안이요 너희 장래에 소망을 주려하는 생각이라
12너희는 내게 부르짖으며 와서 내게 기도하면 내가 너희를 들을 것이요
13너희가 전심으로 나를 찾고 찾으면 나를 만나리라
14나 여호와가 말하노라 내가 너희에게 만나지겠고 너희를 포로된 중에서 다시 돌아오게 하되 내가 쫓아 보내었던 열방과 모든 곳에서 모아 사로잡혀 떠나게 하던 본 곳으로 돌아오게 하리라 여호와의 말이니라 하셨느니라
15너희가 말하기를 여호와께서 바벨론에서 우리를 위하여 선지자들을 일으키셨다 하므로
16여호와께서 다윗의 위에 앉은 왕과 이 성에 거하는 모든 백성 곧 너희와 함께 포로되어 가지 아니한 너희 형제에게 대하여 이같이 말씀하시느니라
17만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 보라 내가 칼과 기근과 염병을 그들에게 보내어 그들로 악하여 먹을 수 없는 악한 무화과 같게 하겠고
18내가 칼과 기근과 염병으로 그들을 따르게 하며 그들을 세계 열방 중에 흩어 학대를 당하게 할 것이며 내가 그들을 쫓아 보낸 열방 중에서 저줏거리와 놀램과 치소와 모욕거리가 되게 하리니
19이는 내가 내 종 선지자들을 그들에게 보내되 부지런히 보내었으나 그들이 나 여호와의 말을 듣지 아니하며 듣지 아니 함이니라 여호와의 말이니라
20그런즉 내가 예루살렘에서 바벨론으로 보낸 너희 모든 포로여 나 여호와의 말을 들을찌니라
21만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님 내가 골라야의 아들 아합과 마아세야의 아들 시드기야에 대하여 말하노라 그들은 내 이름으로 너희에게 거짓을 예언한 자라 보라 내가 그들을 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 손에 붙이리니 그가 너희 목전에서 그들을 죽일 것이라
22너희 바벨론에 있는 유다 모든 포로가 그들로 저줏거리를 삼아서 이르기를 여호와께서 너로 바벨론 왕이 불살라 죽인 시드기야와 아합 같게 하시기를 원하노라 하리니
23이는 그들이 이스라엘 중에서 망령되이 행하여 그 이웃의 아내와 행음하며 내가 그들에게 명하지 아니한 거짓을 내 이름으로 말함이니라 나는 아는 자요 증거인이니라 여호와의 말이니라 하셨다 하였더라
24너는 느헬람 사람 스마야에게 이같이 말하여 이르라
25만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말씀하여 가라사대 네가 네 이름으로 예루살렘에 있는 모든 백성과 제사장 마아세야의 아들 스바냐와 모든 제사장에게 글을 보내어 이르기를
26여호와께서 너로 제사장 여호야다를 대신하여 제사장을 삼아 여호와의 집 유사로 세우심은 무릇 미친 자와 자칭 선지자를 착고에 채우며 칼을 메우게 하심이어늘
27이제 네가 어찌하여 너희 중에 자칭 선지자라 하는 아나돗 사람 예레미야를 책망하지 아니하느냐
28대저 그가 바벨론에 있는 우리에게 편지하기를 때가 오래리니 너희는 집을 짓고 거기 거하며 전원을 만들고 그 열매를 먹으라 하였다 하였느니라
29제사장 스바냐가 스마야의 글을 선지자 예레미야에게 읽어 들릴 때에
30여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하여 가라사대
31너는 모든 포로에게 글을 보내어 이르기를 여호와께서 느헬람 사람 스마야에 대하여 이같이 말씀하시되 내가 스마야를 보내지 아니하였거늘 그가 너희에게 예언하고 너희로 거짓을 믿게 하였도다
32그러므로 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 보라 내가 느헬람 사람 스마야와 그 자손을 벌하리니 그가 나 여호와께 패역한 말을 하였음을 인하여 이 백성 중에 거할 그의 사람이 하나도 없을 것이라 내가 내 백성에게 행하려 하는 선한 일을 그가 보지 못하리라 하셨다 하라 여호와의 말이니라
Jeremiah29
1This is the text of the letter that the prophet Jeremiah sent from Jerusalem to the surviving elders among the exiles and to the priests, the prophets and all the other people Nebuchadnezzar had carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.
2(This was after King Jehoiachin and the queen mother, the court officials and the leaders of Judah and Jerusalem, the craftsmen and the artisans had gone into exile from Jerusalem.)
3He entrusted the letter to Elasah son of Shaphan and to Gemariah son of Hilkiah, whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to King Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon. It said:
4This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all those I carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon:
5'Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.
6Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease.
7Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.'
8Yes, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have.
9They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them,' declares the LORD.
10This is what the LORD says: 'When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place.
11For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
12Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
13You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
14I will be found by you,' declares the LORD, 'and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,' declares the LORD, 'and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.'
15You may say, 'The LORD has raised up prophets for us in Babylon,'
16but this is what the LORD says about the king who sits on David's throne and all the people who remain in this city, your countrymen who did not go with you into exile-
17yes, this is what the LORD Almighty says: 'I will send the sword, famine and plague against them and I will make them like poor figs that are so bad they cannot be eaten.
18I will pursue them with the sword, famine and plague and will make them abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth and an object of cursing and horror, of scorn and reproach, among all the nations where I drive them.
19For they have not listened to my words,' declares the LORD, 'words that I sent to them again and again by my servants the prophets. And you exiles have not listened either,' declares the LORD.
20Therefore, hear the word of the LORD, all you exiles whom I have sent away from Jerusalem to Babylon.
21This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says about Ahab son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying lies to you in my name: 'I will hand them over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will put them to death before your very eyes.
22Because of them, all the exiles from Judah who are in Babylon will use this curse: 'The LORD treat you like Zedekiah and Ahab, whom the king of Babylon burned in the fire.'
23For they have done outrageous things in Israel; they have committed adultery with their neighbors' wives and in my name have spoken lies, which I did not tell them to do. I know it and am a witness to it," declares the LORD.
24Tell Shemaiah the Nehelamite,
25'This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: You sent letters in your own name to all the people in Jerusalem, to Zephaniah son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the other priests. You said to Zephaniah,
26'The LORD has appointed you priest in place of Jehoiada to be in charge of the house of the LORD; you should put any madman who acts like a prophet into the stocks and neck-irons.
27So why have you not reprimanded Jeremiah from Anathoth, who poses as a prophet among you?
28He has sent this message to us in Babylon: It will be a long time. Therefore build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.' "
29Zephaniah the priest, however, read the letter to Jeremiah the prophet.
30Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
31"Send this message to all the exiles: 'This is what the LORD says about Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, even though I did not send him, and has led you to believe a lie,
32this is what the LORD says: I will surely punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. He will have no one left among this people, nor will he see the good things I will do for my people, declares the LORD, because he has preached rebellion against me.' "

1유다 왕 요시야의 아들 여호야김의 즉위한지 오래지 아니하여서 여호와께서 말씀으로 나 예레미야에게 이르시니라
2여호와께서 이같이 내게 이르시되 너는 줄과 멍에를 만들어 네 목에 얹고
3유다 왕 시드기야를 보러 예루살렘에 온 사신들의 손에도 그것을 붙여 에돔 왕과 모압 왕과 암몬 자손의 왕과 두로 왕과 시돈 왕에게 보내며
4그들에게 명하여 그 주에게 이르게 하기를 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 말씀하시되 너희는 너희 주에게 이같이 고하라
5나는 내 큰 능과 나의 든 팔로 땅과 그 위에 있는 사람과 짐승들을 만들고 나의 소견에 옳은대로 땅을 사람에게 주었노라
6이제 내가 이 모든 땅을 내 종 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 손에 주고 또 들짐승들을 그에게 주어서 부리게 하였나니
7열방이 그와 그 아들과 손자를 섬기리라 그의 땅의 기한이 이르면 여러 나라와 큰 왕이 그로 자기를 섬기게 하리라 마는
8나 여호와가 이르노라 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살을 섬기지 아니하는 국민이나 그 목으로 바벨론 왕의 멍에를 메지 아니하는 백성은 내가 그의 손으로 진멸시키기까지 칼과 기근과 염병으로 벌하리라
9너희는 너희 선지자나 너희 복술이나 너희 꿈꾸는 자나 너희 술사나 너희 요술객이 너희에게 이르기를 너희가 바벨론 왕을 섬기지 아니하리라 하여도 듣지 말라
10그들은 너희에게 거짓을 예언하여서 너희로 너희 땅에서 멀리 떠나게 하며 또 나로 너희를 몰아내게 하며 너희를 멸하게 하느니라
11오직 그 목으로 바벨론 왕의 멍에를 메고 그를 섬기는 나라는 내가 그들을 그 땅에 머물러서 밭을 갈며 거기 거하게 하리라 하셨다 하라 여호와의 말이니라
12내가 이 모든 말씀대로 유다 왕 시드기야에게 고하여 가로되 왕과 백성은 목으로 바벨론 왕의 멍에를 메고 그와 그 백성을 섬기소서 그리하면 살리이다
13어찌하여 왕과 왕의 백성이 여호와께서 바벨론 왕을 섬기지 아니하는 나라에 대하여 하신 말씀 같이 칼과 기근과 염병에 죽으려 하나이까
14왕과 백성에게 바벨론 왕을 섬기지 아니하리라 하는 선지자의 말을 듣지 마소서 그들은 거짓을 예언하나이다
15여호와께서 말씀하시되 내가 그들을 보내지 아니하였거늘 그들이 내 이름으로 거짓을 예언하니 내가 너희를 몰아 내며 너희와 너희에게 예언하는 선지자들을 멸망시키기에 이르리라 하셨나이다
16내가 또 제사장들과 그 모든 백성에게 고하여 가로되 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 여호와의 집 기구를 이제 바벨론에서 속히 돌려오리라고 너희에게 예언하는 선지자들의 말을 듣지 말라 이는 그들이 거짓을 예언함이니라 하셨나니
17너희는 그들을 듣지 말고 바벨론 왕을 섬기라 그리하면 살리라 어찌하여 이 성으로 황무지가 되게 하겠느냐
18만일 그들이 선지자이고 여호와의 말씀이 그들에게 있을찐대 그들이 여호와의 집에와 유다 왕의 집에와 예루살렘에 남아 있는 기구가 바벨론으로 옮겨가지 않도록 만군의 여호와께 구하여야 할 것이니라
19만군의 여호와께서 기둥들과 놋바다와 받침들과 및 이 성에 남아 있는 기구에 대하여 이같이 말씀하시나니
20이것은 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 유다 왕 여호야김의 아들 여고니야와 유다와 예루살렘 모든 귀족을 예루살렘에서 바벨론으로 사로잡아 옮길 때에 취하지 아니하였던 것이라
21만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 여호와의 집에와 유다 왕의 집에와 예루살렘에 남아 있는 그 기구에 대하여 이같이 말씀하시되
22그것들이 바벨론으로 옮김을 입고 내가 이것을 돌아보는 날까지 거기 있을 것이니라 그 후에 내가 그것을 옮겨 이곳에 다시 두리라 여호와의 말이니라

1이 해, 유다 왕 시드기야의 즉위한지 오래지 않은 해 곧 사년 오월에 기브온 앗술의 아들 선지자 하나냐가 여호와의 집에서 제사장들과 모든 백성 앞에서 내게 말하여 가로되
2만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말씀하여 가라사대 내가 바벨론 왕의 멍에를 꺾었느니라
3내가 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 이곳에서 바벨론으로 옮겨간 여호와의 집 모든 기구를 두 해가 차기 전에 다시 이곳으로 가져 오게 하겠고
4내가 또 유다 왕 여호야김의 아들 여고니야와 바벨론으로 간 유다 모든 포로를 다시 이곳으로 돌아오게 하리니 이는 내가 바벨론 왕의 멍에를 꺾을 것임이니라 여호와의 말이니라 하셨다 하는지라
5선지자 예레미야가 여호와의 집에 선 제사장들의 앞과 모든 백성 앞에서 선지자 하나냐에게 말할쌔
6선지자 예레미야가 말하되 아멘, 여호와는 이 같이 하옵소서 여호와께서 네 예언대로 이루사 여호와의 집 기구와 모든 포로를 바벨론에서 이곳으로 다시 옮겨오시기를 원하노라
7그러나 너는 이제 내가 네 귀와 모든 백성의 귀에 이르는 이 말을 들으라
8나와 너 이전 선지자들이 자고로 여러 나라와 큰 국가들에 대하여 전쟁과 재앙과 염병을 예언하였느니라
9평화를 예언하는 선지자는 그 예언자의 말이 응한 후에야 그는 진실로 여호와의 보내신 선지자로 알게 되리라
10선지자 하나냐가 선지자 예레미야의 목에서 멍에를 취하여 꺾고
11모든 백성 앞에서 말하여 가로되 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 내가 두 해가 차기 전에 열방의 목에서 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 멍에를 이 같이 꺾어버리리라 하셨느니라 하매 선지자 예레미야가 자기 길을 가니라
12선지자 하나냐가 선지자 예레미야의 목에서 멍에를 꺾어버린 후에 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라 가라사대
13너는 가서 하나냐에게 말하여 이르기를 여호와의 말씀에 네가 나무 멍에를 꺾었으나 그 대신 쇠 멍에를 만들었느니라
14만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말하노라 내가 쇠 멍에로 이 모든 나라의 목에 메워 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살을 섬기게 하였으니 그들이 그를 섬기리라 내가 들짐승도 그에게 주었느니라 하신다 하라
15선지자 예레미야가 선지자 하나냐에게 이르되 하나냐여 들으라 여호와께서 너를 보내지 아니하셨거늘 네가 이 백성으로 거짓을 믿게 하는도다
16그러므로 여호와께서 말씀하시되 내가 너를 지면에서 제하리니 네가 여호와께 패역하는 말을 하였음이라 금년에 죽으리라 하셨느니라 하더니
17선지자 하나냐가 그 해 칠월에 죽었더라
Jeremiah28
1In the fifth month of that same year, the fourth year, early in the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, the prophet Hananiah son of Azzur, who was from Gibeon, said to me in the house of the LORD in the presence of the priests and all the people:
2"This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.
3Within two years I will bring back to this place all the articles of the LORD's house that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed from here and took to Babylon.
4I will also bring back to this place Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah and all the other exiles from Judah who went to Babylon,' declares the LORD, 'for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.' "
5Then the prophet Jeremiah replied to the prophet Hananiah before the priests and all the people who were standing in the house of the LORD.
6He said, "Amen! May the LORD do so! May the LORD fulfill the words you have prophesied by bringing the articles of the LORD's house and all the exiles back to this place from Babylon.
7Nevertheless, listen to what I have to say in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people:
8From early times the prophets who preceded you and me have prophesied war, disaster and plague against many countries and great kingdoms.
9But the prophet who prophesies peace will be recognized as one truly sent by the LORD only if his prediction comes true.'
10Then the prophet Hananiah took the yoke off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah and broke it,
11and he said before all the people, "This is what the LORD says: 'In the same way will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon off the neck of all the nations within two years.' " At this, the prophet Jeremiah went on his way.
12Shortly after the prophet Hananiah had broken the yoke off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
13"Go and tell Hananiah, 'This is what the LORD says: You have broken a wooden yoke, but in its place you will get a yoke of iron.
14This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I will put an iron yoke on the necks of all these nations to make them serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they will serve him. I will even give him control over the wild animals.' "
15Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, 'Listen, Hananiah! The LORD has not sent you, yet you have persuaded this nation to trust in lies.
16Therefore, this is what the LORD says: 'I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. This very year you are going to die, because you have preached rebellion against the LORD.' "
17In the seventh month of that same year, Hananiah the prophet died.

18예루살렘과 유다 성읍들과 그 왕들과 그 방백들로 마시게 하였더니 그들이 멸망과 놀램과 치소와 저주를 당함이 오늘날과 같으니라
19또 애굽 왕 바로와 그의 신하들과 그의 방백들과 그의 모든 백성과
20모든 잡족과 우스 땅 모든 왕과 블레셋 사람의 땅 모든 왕과 아스글론과 가사와 에그론과 아스돗의 남은 자와
21에돔과 모압과 암몬 자손과
22두로의 모든 왕과 시돈의 모든 왕과 바다 저편 섬의 왕들과
23드단과 데마와 부스와 털을 모지게 깎은 모든 자와
24아라비아 모든 왕과 광야에 거하는 잡족의 모든 왕과
25시므리의 모든 왕과 엘람의 모든 왕과 메대의 모든 왕과

28그들이 만일 네 손에서 잔을 받아 마시기를 거절하거든 너는 그들에게 이르기를 만군의 여호와의 말씀에 너희가 반드시 마시리라
29보라 내가 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받는 성에서부터 재앙 내리기를 시작하였은즉 너희가 어찌 능히 형벌을 면할 수 있느냐 면치 못하리니 이는 내가 칼을 불러 세상의 모든 거민을 칠 것임이니라 하셨다 하라 만군의 여호와의 말이니라
30그러므로 너는 그들에게 이 모든 말로 예언하여 이르기를 여호와께서 높은데서 부르시며 그 거룩한 처소에서 소리를 발하시며 그 양의 우리를 향하여 크게 부르시며 세상 모든 거민을 대하여 포도 밟는 자 같이 외치시리니
31요란한 소리가 땅 끝까지 이름은 여호와께서 열국과 다투시며 모든 육체를 심판하시며 악인을 칼에 붙이심을 인함이라 하라 여호와의 말이니라
32나 만군의 여호와가 말하노라 보라 재앙이 나서 나라에서 나라에 미칠 것이며 대풍이 땅 끝에서 일어날 것이라
33그 날에 나 여호와에게 살륙을 당한 자가 땅 이 끝에서 땅 저 끝에 미칠 것이나 그들이 슬퍼함을 받지 못하며 염습함을 입지 못하며 매장함을 얻지 못하고 지면에서 분토가 되리로다
34너희 목자들아 외쳐 애곡하라 너희 양떼의 인도자들아 재에 굴라 이는 너희 도륙을 당할 날과 흩음을 당할 기한이 찼음인즉 너희가 귀한 그릇의 떨어짐 같이 될 것이라
35목자들은 도망할 수 없겠고 양떼의 인도자들은 도피할 수 없으리로다
36목자들의 부르짖음과 양떼의 인도자들의 애곡하는 소리여 나 여호와가 그들의 초장으로 황폐케 함이로다
37평안한 목장들이 적막하니 이는 여호와의 진노의 연고로다
38그가 사자 같이 그 소혈에서 나오셨도다 그 잔멸하는 자의 진노와 그 극렬한 분으로 인하여 그들의 땅이 황량하였도다
Jeremiah25:18~
18Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a ruin and an object of horror and scorn and cursing, as they are today;
19Pharaoh king of Egypt, his attendants, his officials and all his people,
20and all the foreign people there; all the kings of Uz; all the kings of the Philistines (those of Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the people left at Ashdod
21Edom, Moab and Ammon;
22all the kings of Tyre and Sidon; the kings of the coastlands across the sea;
23Dedan, Tema, Buz and all who are in distant places;
24all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the foreign people who live in the desert;
25all the kings of Zimri, Elam and Media;
26and all the kings of the north, near and far, one after the other-all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. And after all of them, the king of Sheshach will drink it too.
27"Then tell them, 'This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword I will send among you.'
28But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink, tell them, 'This is what the LORD Almighty says: You must drink it!
29See, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears my Name, and will you indeed go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword upon all who live on the earth, declares the LORD Almighty.'
30"Now prophesy all these words against them and say to them: " 'The LORD will roar from on high; he will thunder from his holy dwelling and roar mightily against his land. He will shout like those who tread the grapes, shout against all who live on the earth.
31The tumult will resound to the ends of the earth, for the LORD will bring charges against the nations; he will bring judgment on all mankind and put the wicked to the sword,' " declares the LORD.
32This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth.'
33At that time those slain by the LORD will be everywhere-from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like refuse lying on the ground.
34Weep and wail, you shepherds; roll in the dust, you leaders of the flock. For your time to be slaughtered has come; you will fall and be shattered like fine pottery.
35The shepherds will have nowhere to flee, the leaders of the flock no place to escape.
36Hear the cry of the shepherds, the wailing of the leaders of the flock, for the LORD is destroying their pasture.
37The peaceful meadows will be laid waste because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
38Like a lion he will leave his lair, and their land will become desolate because of the sword of the oppressor and because of the LORD's fierce anger.
예레미야26장
1유다 왕 요시야의 아들 여호야김의 즉위 초에 여호와께로서 이 말씀이 임하니라 가라사대
2나 여호와가 이같이 이르노라 너는 여호와의 집 뜰에 서서 유다 모든 성읍에서 여호와의 집에 와서 경배하는 자에게 내가 네게 명하여 이르게 한 모든 말을 고하되 한 말도 감하지 말라
3그들이 듣고 혹시 각각 그 악한 길에서 떠나리라 그리하면 내가 그들의 악행으로 인하여 재앙을 그들에게 내리려 하던 뜻을 돌이키리라
4너는 그들에게 이르기를 여호와의 말씀에 너희가 나를 청종치 아니하며 내가 너희 앞에 둔 내 법을 행치 아니하며
5내가 너희에게 보내고 부지런히 보낸 나의 종 선지자들의 말을 이미 듣지 아니하였거니와 너희가 만일 다시 듣지 아니하면
6내가 이 집을 실로 같이 되게 하고 이 성으로 세계 열방의 저줏거리가 되게 하리라 하셨다 하라
7예레미야가 여호와의 집에서 이 말을 하매 제사장들과 선지자들과 모든 백성이 듣더라
8예레미야가 여호와께서 명하신 말씀을 모든 백성에게 고하기를 마치매 제사장들과 선지자들과 모든 백성이 그를 붙잡고 이르되 네가 반드시 죽으리라
9어찌하여 네가 여호와의 이름을 의탁하고 예언하여 이르기를 이 집이 실로 같이 되겠고 이 성이 황무하여 거민이 없으리라 하느뇨 하며 그 모든 백성이 여호와의 집에서 예레미야에게로 모여드니라
10유다 방백들이 이 일을 듣고 왕궁에서 여호와의 집으로 올라와서 여호와의 집 새문 어귀에 앉으매
11제사장들과 선지자들이 방백들과 모든 백성에게 말하여 가로되 이 사람은 죽음이 합당하니 너희 귀로 들음 같이 이 성을 쳐서 예언하였느니라
12예레미야가 모든 방백과 백성에게 일러 가로되 여호와께서 나를 보내사 너희의 들은바 모든 말로 이 집과 이 성을 쳐서 예언하게 하셨느니라
13그런즉 너희는 너희 길과 행위를 고치고 너희 하나님 여호와의 목소리를 청종하라 그리하면 여호와께서 너희에게 선고하신 재앙에 대하여 뜻을 돌이키시리라
14보라 나는 너희 손에 있으니 너희 소견에 선한대로, 옳은대로 하려니와
15너희는 분명히 알라 너희가 나를 죽이면 정녕히 무죄한 피로 너희 몸과 이 성과 이 성 거민에게로 돌아가게 하리라 이는 여호와께서 진실로 나를 보내사 이 모든 말을 너희 귀에 이르게 하셨음이니라
16방백들과 모든 백성이 제사장들과 선지자들에게 이르되 이 사람이 우리 하나님 여호와의 이름을 의탁하고 우리에게 말하였으니 죽음이 부당하니라
17때에 그 땅 장로 중 몇 사람이 일어나 백성의 온 회중에 말하여 가로되
18유다 왕 히스기야 시대에 모레셋 사람 미가가 유다 모든 백성에게 예언하여 가로되 만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 시온은 밭 같이 경작함을 당하며 예루살렘은 무더기가 되며 이 전의 산은 수풀의 높은 곳들 같이 되리라 하였으나
19유다 왕 히스기야와 모든 유다가 그를 죽였느냐 히스기야가 여호와를 두려워하여 여호와께 간구하매 여호와께서 그들에게 선고한 재앙에 대하여 뜻을 돌이키지 아니하셨느냐 우리가 이같이 하면 우리 생명을 스스로 크게 해하는 일이니라
20또 여호와의 이름을 의탁하고 예언한 사람이 있었는데 곧 기럇여아림 스마야의 아들 우리야라 그가 예레미야의 모든 말과 같이 이 성과 이 땅을 쳐서 예언하매
21여호야김왕과 그 모든 용사와 모든 방백이 그 말을 듣고는 왕이 그를 죽이려 하매 우리야가 이를 듣고 두려워 애굽으로 도망하여 간지라
22여호야김왕이 사람을 애굽으로 보내되 곧 악볼의 아들 엘라단과 몇 사람을 함께 애굽으로 보내었더니
23그들이 우리야를 애굽에서 끌어 내어 여호야김왕께로 데려오매 왕이 칼로 그를 죽이고 그 시체를 평민의 묘실에 던지게 하였다 하니라
24사반의 아들 아히감이 예레미야를 보호하여 예레미야를 백성의 손에 내어주지 아니하여 죽이지 못하게 하니라
Jeremiah26
1Early in the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came from the LORD :
2"This is what the LORD says: Stand in the courtyard of the LORD's house and speak to all the people of the towns of Judah who come to worship in the house of the LORD. Tell them everything I command you; do not omit a word.
3Perhaps they will listen and each will turn from his evil way. Then I will relent and not bring on them the disaster I was planning because of the evil they have done.
4Say to them, 'This is what the LORD says: If you do not listen to me and follow my law, which I have set before you,
5and if you do not listen to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I have sent to you again and again (though you have not listened),
6then I will make this house like Shiloh and this city an object of cursing among all the nations of the earth.' "
7The priests, the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speak these words in the house of the LORD.
8But as soon as Jeremiah finished telling all the people everything the LORD had commanded him to say, the priests, the prophets and all the people seized him and said, 'You must die!
9Why do you prophesy in the LORD's name that this house will be like Shiloh and this city will be desolate and deserted?" And all the people crowded around Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.
10When the officials of Judah heard about these things, they went up from the royal palace to the house of the LORD and took their places at the entrance of the New Gate of the LORD's house.
11Then the priests and the prophets said to the officials and all the people, 'This man should be sentenced to death because he has prophesied against this city. You have heard it with your own ears!'
12Then Jeremiah said to all the officials and all the people: 'The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and this city all the things you have heard.
13Now reform your ways and your actions and obey the LORD your God. Then the LORD will relent and not bring the disaster he has pronounced against you.
14As for me, I am in your hands; do with me whatever you think is good and right.
15Be assured, however, that if you put me to death, you will bring the guilt of innocent blood on yourselves and on this city and on those who live in it, for in truth the LORD has sent me to you to speak all these words in your hearing.'
16Then the officials and all the people said to the priests and the prophets, 'This man should not be sentenced to death! He has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God.'
17Some of the elders of the land stepped forward and said to the entire assembly of people,
18"Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah. He told all the people of Judah, 'This is what the LORD Almighty says: " 'Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble, the temple hill a mound overgrown with thickets.'
19'Did Hezekiah king of Judah or anyone else in Judah put him to death? Did not Hezekiah fear the LORD and seek his favor? And did not the LORD relent, so that he did not bring the disaster he pronounced against them? We are about to bring a terrible disaster on ourselves!'
20(Now Uriah son of Shemaiah from Kiriath Jearim was another man who prophesied in the name of the LORD; he prophesied the same things against this city and this land as Jeremiah did.
21When King Jehoiakim and all his officers and officials heard his words, the king sought to put him to death. But Uriah heard of it and fled in fear to Egypt.
22King Jehoiakim, however, sent Elnathan son of Acbor to Egypt, along with some other men.
23They brought Uriah out of Egypt and took him to King Jehoiakim, who had him struck down with a sword and his body thrown into the burial place of the common people.)
24Furthermore, Ahikam son of Shaphan supported Jeremiah, and so he was not handed over to the people to be put to death.

예레미야24장
1바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 유다 왕 여호야김의 아들 여고냐와 유다 방백들과 목공들과 철공들을 예루살렘에서 바벨론으로 옮긴 후에 여호와께서 여호와의 전 앞에 놓인 무화과 두 광주리로 내게 보이셨는데
2한 광주리에는 처음 익은듯한 극히 좋은 무화과가 있고 한 광주리에는 악하여 먹을 수 없는 극히 악한 무화과가 있더라
3여호와께서 내게 이르시되 예레미야야 네가 무엇을 보느냐 내가 대답하되 무화과이온데 그 좋은 무화과는 극히 좋고 그 악한 것은 극히 악하여 먹을 수 없게 악하니이다
4여호와의 말씀이 또 내게 임하니라 가라사대
5이스라엘의 하나님 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 내가 이곳에서 옮겨 갈대아인의 땅에 이르게 한 유다 포로를 이 좋은 무화과 같이 보아 좋게 할 것이라
6내가 그들을 돌아보아 좋게 하여 다시 이 땅으로 인도하고 세우고 헐지 아니하며 심고 뽑지 아니하겠고
7내가 여호와인줄 아는 마음을 그들에게 주어서 그들로 전심으로 내게 돌아오게 하리니 그들은 내 백성이 되겠고 나는 그들의 하나님이 되리라
8나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 내가 유다 왕 시드기야와 그 방백들과 예루살렘의 남은 자로서 이 땅에 남아 있는 자와 애굽 땅에 거하는 자들을 이 악하여 먹을 수 없는 악한 무화과 같이 버리되
9세상 모든 나라 중에 흩어서 그들로 환난을 당하게 할 것이며 또 그들로 내가 쫓아보낼 모든 곳에서 치욕을 당하게 하며 말거리가 되게 하며 조롱과 저주를 받게 할 것이며
10내가 칼과 기근과 염병을 그들 중에 보내어 그들로 내가 그들과 그 열조에게 준 땅에서 멸절하기까지 이르게 하리라 하시니라
Jeremiah24
1After Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah and the officials, the craftsmen and the artisans of Judah were carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the LORD showed me two baskets of figs placed in front of the temple of the LORD.
2One basket had very good figs, like those that ripen early; the other basket had very poor figs, so bad they could not be eaten.
3Then the LORD asked me, 'What do you see, Jeremiah?' 'Figs,' I answered. 'The good ones are very good, but the poor ones are so bad they cannot be eaten.'
4Then the word of the LORD came to me:
5"This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Like these good figs, I regard as good the exiles from Judah, whom I sent away from this place to the land of the Babylonians.
6My eyes will watch over them for their good, and I will bring them back to this land. I will build them up and not tear them down; I will plant them and not uproot them.
7I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart.
8" 'But like the poor figs, which are so bad they cannot be eaten,' says the LORD, 'so will I deal with Zedekiah king of Judah, his officials and the survivors from Jerusalem, whether they remain in this land or live in Egypt.
9I will make them abhorrent and an offense to all the kingdoms of the earth, a reproach and a byword, an object of ridicule and cursing, wherever I banish them.
10I will send the sword, famine and plague against them until they are destroyed from the land I gave to them and their fathers.' "
예레미야25장
1유다 왕 요시야의 아들 여호야김 사년 곧 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살 원년에 유다 모든 백성에 관한 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라
2선지자 예레미야가 유다 모든 백성과 예루살렘 모든 거민에게 고하여 가로되
3유다 왕 아몬의 아들 요시야의 십 삼년부터 오늘까지 이십 삼년 동안에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하기로 내가 너희에게 이르되 부지런히 일렀으나 너희가 듣지 아니 하였으며
4여호와께서 그 모든 종 선지자를 너희에게 보내시되 부지런히 보내셨으나 너희가 듣지 아니하였으며 귀를 기울여 들으려고도 아니하였도다
5이르시기를 너희는 각기 악한 길과 너희 악행에서 돌이키라 그리하면 나 여호와가 너희와 너희 열조에게 옛적에 주어 영원히 있게 한 그 땅에 거하리니
6너희는 다른 신을 좇아 섬기거나 숭배하지 말며 너희 손으로 만든 것을 인하여 나의 노를 격동치 말라 그리하면 내가 너희를 해치 아니하리라 하였으나
7너희가 내 말을 듣지 아니하고 너희 손으로 만든 것으로 나의 노를 격동하여 스스로 해하였느니라 여호와의 말이니라
8그러므로 나 만군의 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 너희가 내 말을 듣지 아니하였은즉
9보라 내가 보내어 북방 모든 족속과 내 종 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살을 불러다가 이 땅과 그 거민과 사방 모든 나라를 쳐서 진멸하여 그들로 놀램과 치소거리가 되게 하며 땅으로 영영한 황무지가 되게 할 것이라
10내가 그들 중에서 기뻐하는 소리와 즐거워하는 소리와 신랑의 소리와 신부의 소리와 맷돌소리와 등불 빛이 끊쳐지게 하리니
11이 온 땅이 황폐하여 놀램이 될 것이며 이 나라들은 칠십년 동안 바벨론 왕을 섬기리라
12나 여호와가 말하노라 칠십년이 마치면 내가 바벨론 왕과 그 나라와 갈대아인의 땅을 그 죄악으로 인하여 벌하여 영영히 황무케 하되
13내가 그 땅에 대하여 선고한바 곧 예레미야가 열방에 대하여 예언하고 이 책에 기록한 나의 모든 말을 그 땅에 임하게 하리니
14여러 나라와 큰 왕들이 그들로 자기 역군을 삼으리라 내가 그들의 행위와 그들의 손의 행한대로 보응하리라 하시니라
15이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이같이 내게 이르시되 너는 내 손에서 이 진노의 잔을 받아가지고 내가 너를 보내는바 그 모든 나라로 마시게 하라
16그들이 마시고 비틀거리며 미치리니 이는 내가 그들 중에 칼을 보냄을 인함이니라 하시기로
17내가 여호와의 손에서 그 잔을 받아서 여호와께서 나를 보내신바 그 모든 나라로 마시게 하되
18예루살렘과 유다 성읍들과 그 왕들과 그 방백들로 마시게 하였더니 그들이 멸망과 놀램과 치소와 저주를 당함이 오늘날과 같으니라
19또 애굽 왕 바로와 그의 신하들과 그의 방백들과 그의 모든 백성과
20모든 잡족과 우스 땅 모든 왕과 블레셋 사람의 땅 모든 왕과 아스글론과 가사와 에그론과 아스돗의 남은 자와
21에돔과 모압과 암몬 자손과
22두로의 모든 왕과 시돈의 모든 왕과 바다 저편 섬의 왕들과
23드단과 데마와 부스와 털을 모지게 깎은 모든 자와
24아라비아 모든 왕과 광야에 거하는 잡족의 모든 왕과
25시므리의 모든 왕과 엘람의 모든 왕과 메대의 모든 왕과
26북방 원근의 모든 왕과 지면에 있는 세상의 모든 나라로 마시게 하니라 세삭 왕은 그 후에 마시리라
27너는 그들에게 이르기를 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님의 말씀에 너희는 마시라 취하라 토하라 엎드러지고 다시는 일어나지 말라 이는 내가 너희 중에 칼을 보냄을 인함이니라 하셨다 하라
28그들이 만일 네 손에서 잔을 받아 마시기를 거절하거든 너는 그들에게 이르기를 만군의 여호와의 말씀에 너희가 반드시 마시리라
29보라 내가 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받는 성에서부터 재앙 내리기를 시작하였은즉 너희가 어찌 능히 형벌을 면할 수 있느냐 면치 못하리니 이는 내가 칼을 불러 세상의 모든 거민을 칠 것임이니라 하셨다 하라 만군의 여호와의 말이니라
30그러므로 너는 그들에게 이 모든 말로 예언하여 이르기를 여호와께서 높은데서 부르시며 그 거룩한 처소에서 소리를 발하시며 그 양의 우리를 향하여 크게 부르시며 세상 모든 거민을 대하여 포도 밟는 자 같이 외치시리니
31요란한 소리가 땅 끝까지 이름은 여호와께서 열국과 다투시며 모든 육체를 심판하시며 악인을 칼에 붙이심을 인함이라 하라 여호와의 말이니라
32나 만군의 여호와가 말하노라 보라 재앙이 나서 나라에서 나라에 미칠 것이며 대풍이 땅 끝에서 일어날 것이라
33그 날에 나 여호와에게 살륙을 당한 자가 땅 이 끝에서 땅 저 끝에 미칠 것이나 그들이 슬퍼함을 받지 못하며 염습함을 입지 못하며 매장함을 얻지 못하고 지면에서 분토가 되리로다
34너희 목자들아 외쳐 애곡하라 너희 양떼의 인도자들아 재에 굴라 이는 너희 도륙을 당할 날과 흩음을 당할 기한이 찼음인즉 너희가 귀한 그릇의 떨어짐 같이 될 것이라
35목자들은 도망할 수 없겠고 양떼의 인도자들은 도피할 수 없으리로다
36목자들의 부르짖음과 양떼의 인도자들의 애곡하는 소리여 나 여호와가 그들의 초장으로 황폐케 함이로다
37평안한 목장들이 적막하니 이는 여호와의 진노의 연고로다
38그가 사자 같이 그 소혈에서 나오셨도다 그 잔멸하는 자의 진노와 그 극렬한 분으로 인하여 그들의 땅이 황량하였도다
Jeremiah25
1The word came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, which was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
2So Jeremiah the prophet said to all the people of Judah and to all those living in Jerusalem:
3For twenty-three years-from the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah until this very day-the word of the LORD has come to me and I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not listened.
4And though the LORD has sent all his servants the prophets to you again and again, you have not listened or paid any attention.
5They said, 'Turn now, each of you, from your evil ways and your evil practices, and you can stay in the land the LORD gave to you and your fathers for ever and ever.
6Do not follow other gods to serve and worship them; do not provoke me to anger with what your hands have made. Then I will not harm you.'
7'But you did not listen to me,' declares the LORD, 'and you have provoked me with what your hands have made, and you have brought harm to yourselves.'
8Therefore the LORD Almighty says this: 'Because you have not listened to my words,
9I will summon all the peoples of the north and my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,' declares the LORD, 'and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations. I will completely destroy them and make them an object of horror and scorn, and an everlasting ruin.
10I will banish from them the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, the sound of millstones and the light of the lamp.
11This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12'But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians, for their guilt,' declares the LORD, 'and will make it desolate forever.
13I will bring upon that land all the things I have spoken against it, all that are written in this book and prophesied by Jeremiah against all the nations.
14They themselves will be enslaved by many nations and great kings; I will repay them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.'
15This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: 'Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it.
16When they drink it, they will stagger and go mad because of the sword I will send among them.'
17So I took the cup from the LORD's hand and made all the nations to whom he sent me drink it:
18Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a ruin and an object of horror and scorn and cursing, as they are today;
19Pharaoh king of Egypt, his attendants, his officials and all his people,
20and all the foreign people there; all the kings of Uz; all the kings of the Philistines (those of Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the people left at Ashdod
21Edom, Moab and Ammon;
22all the kings of Tyre and Sidon; the kings of the coastlands across the sea;
23Dedan, Tema, Buz and all who are in distant places;
24all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the foreign people who live in the desert;
25all the kings of Zimri, Elam and Media;
26and all the kings of the north, near and far, one after the other-all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. And after all of them, the king of Sheshach will drink it too.
27"Then tell them, 'This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword I will send among you.'
28But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink, tell them, 'This is what the LORD Almighty says: You must drink it!
29See, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears my Name, and will you indeed go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword upon all who live on the earth, declares the LORD Almighty.'
30"Now prophesy all these words against them and say to them: " 'The LORD will roar from on high; he will thunder from his holy dwelling and roar mightily against his land. He will shout like those who tread the grapes, shout against all who live on the earth.
31The tumult will resound to the ends of the earth, for the LORD will bring charges against the nations; he will bring judgment on all mankind and put the wicked to the sword,' " declares the LORD.
32This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth.'
33At that time those slain by the LORD will be everywhere-from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like refuse lying on the ground.
34Weep and wail, you shepherds; roll in the dust, you leaders of the flock. For your time to be slaughtered has come; you will fall and be shattered like fine pottery.
35The shepherds will have nowhere to flee, the leaders of the flock no place to escape.
36Hear the cry of the shepherds, the wailing of the leaders of the flock, for the LORD is destroying their pasture.
37The peaceful meadows will be laid waste because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
38Like a lion he will leave his lair, and their land will become desolate because of the sword of the oppressor and because of the LORD's fierce anger.

예레미야23장
1나 여호와가 말하노라 내 목장의 양 무리를 멸하며 흩는 목자에게 화 있으리라
2그러므로 이스라엘 하나님 나 여호와가 내 백성을 기르는 목자에게 이같이 말하노라 너희가 내 양무리를 흩으며 그것을 몰아내고 돌아보지 아니하였도다 보라 내가 너희의 악행을 인하여 너희에게 보응하리라 여호와의 말이니라
3내가 내 양 무리의 남은 자를 그 몰려갔던 모든 지방에서 모아내어 다시 그 우리로 돌아오게 하리니 그들의 생육이 번성할 것이며
4내가 그들을 기르는 목자들을 그들 위에 세우리니 그들이 다시는 두려워 하거나 놀라거나 축이 나지 아니하리라 여호와의 말이니라
5나 여호와가 말하노라 보라 때가 이르리니 내가 다윗에게 한 의로운 가지를 일으킬 것이라 그가 왕이 되어 지혜롭게 행사하며 세상에서 공평과 정의를 행할 것이며
6그의 날에 유다는 구원을 얻겠고 이스라엘은 평안히 거할 것이며 그 이름은 여호와 우리의 의라 일컬음을 받으리라
7그러므로 나 여호와가 말하노라 보라 날이 이르리니 그들이 다시는 이스라엘 자손을 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내신 여호와의 사심으로 맹세하지 아니하고
8이스라엘 집 자손을 북방 땅, 그 모든 쫓겨났던 나라에서 인도하여 내신 여호와의 사심으로 맹세할 것이며 그들이 자기 땅에 거하리라 하시니라
9선지자들에 대한 말씀이라 내 중심이 상하며 내 모든 뼈가 떨리며 내가 취한 사람 같으며 포도주에 잡힌 사람 같으니 이는 여호와와 그 거룩한 말씀을 인함이라
10이 땅에 행음하는 자가 가득하도다 저주로 인하여 땅이 슬퍼하며 광야의 초장들이 마르나니 그들의 행위가 악하고 힘쓰는 것이 정직하지 못함이로다
11여호와께서 말씀하시되 선지자와 제사장이 다 사특한지라 내가 내 집에서도 그들의 악을 발견하였노라
12그러므로 그들의 길이 그들에게 흑암 중에 미끄러운 곳과 같이 되고 그들이 밀침을 받아 그 길에 엎드러질 것이라 그들을 벌하는 해에 내가 그들에게 재앙을 내리리라 여호와의 말이니라
13내가 사마리아 선지자들 중에 우매함이 있음을 보았나니 그들은 바알을 의탁하고 예언하여 내 백성 이스라엘을 그릇되게 하였고
14내가 예루살렘 선지자들 중에도 가증한 일이 있음을 보았나니 그들은 간음을 행하며 행악자의 손을 굳게 하여 사람으로 그 악에서 돌이킴이 없게 하였은즉 그들은 다 내 앞에서 소돔 사람과 다름이 없고 그 거민은 고모라 사람과 다름이 없느니라
15그러므로 만군의 여호와 내가 선지자에 대하여 이같이 말하노라 보라 내가 그들에게 쑥을 먹이며 독한 물을 마시우리니 이는 사악이 예루살렘 선지자들에게로서 나와서 온 땅에 퍼짐이라 하시니라
16만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 너희에게 예언하는 선지자들의 말을 듣지 말라 그들은 너희에게 헛된 것을 가르치나니 그들의 말한 묵시는 자기 마음으로 말미암은 것이요 여호와의 입에서 나온 것이 아니니라
17항상 그들이 나를 멸시하는 자에게 이르기를 너희가 평안하리라 여호와의 말씀이니라 하며 또 자기 마음의 강퍅한대로 행하는 모든 사람에게 이르기를 재앙이 너희에게 임하지 아니하리라 하였느니라
18누가 여호와의 회의에 참예하여 그 말을 알아들었으며 누가 귀를 기울여 그 말을 들었느뇨
19보라 나 여호와의 노가 발하여 폭풍과 회리바람처럼 악인의 머리를 칠 것이라
20나 여호와의 노는 내 마음의 뜻하는바를 행하여 이루기까지는 쉬지 아니하나니 너희가 말일에 그것을 완전히 깨달으리라
21이 선지자들은 내가 보내지 아니하였어도 달음질하며 내가 그들에게 이르지 아니하였어도 예언하였은즉
22그들이 만일 나의 회의에 참예하였더면 내 백성에게 내 말을 들려서 그들로 악한 길과 악한 행위에서 돌이키게 하였으리라
23나 여호와가 말하노라 나는 가까운데 하나님이요 먼데 하나님은 아니냐
24나 여호와가 말하노라 사람이 내게 보이지 아니하려고 누가 자기를 은밀한 곳에 숨길 수 있겠느냐 나 여호와가 말하노라 나는 천지에 충만하지 아니하냐
25내 이름으로 거짓을 예언하는 선지자들의 말에 내가 몽사를 얻었다 몽사를 얻었다 함을 내가 들었노라
26거짓을 예언하는 선지자들이 언제까지 이 마음을 품겠느냐 그들은 그 마음의 간교한 것을 예언하느니라
27그들이 서로 몽사를 말하니 그 생각인즉 그들의 열조가 바알로 인하여 내 이름을 잊어버린 것 같이 내 백성으로 내 이름을 잊게 하려 함이로다
28나 여호와가 말하노라 몽사를 얻은 선지자는 몽사를 말할 것이요 내 말을 받은 자는 성실함으로 내 말을 말할 것이라 겨와 밀을 어찌 비교하겠느냐
29나 여호와가 말하노라 내 말이 불 같지 아니하냐 반석을 쳐서 부스러뜨리는 방망이 같지 아니하냐
30나 여호와가 말하노라 그러므로 보라 서로 내 말을 도적질하는 선지자들을 내가 치리라
31나 여호와가 말하노라 보라 그들이 혀를 놀려 그가 말씀하셨다 하는 선지자들을 내가 치리라
32나 여호와가 말하노라 보라 거짓 몽사를 예언하여 이르며 거짓과 헛된 자만으로 내 백성을 미혹하게 하는 자를 내가 치리라 내가 그들을 보내지 아니하였으며 명하지 아니하였나니 그들이 이 백성에게 아무 유익이 없느니라 여호와의 말이니라
33이 백성이나 선지자나 제사장이 네게 물어 이르기를 여호와의 엄중한 말씀이 무엇이뇨 하거든 너는 그들에게 대답하기를 엄중한 말씀이 무엇이냐 하느냐 여호와의 말씀에 내가 너희를 버리리라 하셨고
34또 여호와의 엄중한 말씀이라 하는 선지자에게나 제사장에게나 백성에게는 내가 그 사람과 그 집에 벌하리라 하셨다 하고
35너는 또 말 하기를 너희는 서로 이웃과 형제에게 묻기를 여호와께서 무엇이라 응답하셨으며 무엇이라 말씀하셨느뇨 하고
36다시는 여호와의 엄중한 말씀이라 말하지 말라 각 사람의 말이 자기에게 중벌이 되리니 이는 너희가 사시는 하나님, 만군의 여호와 우리 하나님의 말씀을 망령되이 씀이니라 하고
37너는 또 선지자에게 말하기를 여호와께서 네게 무엇이라 대답하셨으며 여호와께서 무엇이라 말씀 하셨느뇨
38너희는 여호와의 엄중한 말씀이라 말하도다 그러므로 여호와께서 가라사대 내가 너희에게 보내어 여호와의 엄중한 말씀이라 하지 말라 하였어도 너희가 여호와의 엄중한 말씀이라 하였은즉
39내가 너희를 온전히 잊어버리며 내가 너희와 너희 열조에게 준 이 성읍을 내 앞에서 내어버려
40너희로 영원한 치욕과 잊지 못할 영구한 수치를 당케 하리라 하셨다 할찌니라
Jeremiah23
1'Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!' declares the LORD.
2Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: 'Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done,' declares the LORD.
3'I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number.
4I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing,' declares the LORD.
5'The days are coming,' declares the LORD, 'when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.
6In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety.This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness.
7"So then, the days are coming," declares the LORD, "when people will no longer say, 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,'
8but they will say, 'As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.' Then they will live in their own land."
9Concerning the prophets: My heart is broken within me; all my bones tremble. I am like a drunken man, like a man overcome by wine, because of the LORD and his holy words.
10The land is full of adulterers; because of the curse the land lies parched and the pastures in the desert are withered. The prophets follow an evil course and use their power unjustly.
11'Both prophet and priest are godless; even in my temple I find their wickedness,' declares the LORD.
12'Therefore their path will become slippery; they will be banished to darkness and there they will fall. I will bring disaster on them in the year they are punished,' declares the LORD.
13'Among the prophets of Samaria I saw this repulsive thing: They prophesied by Baal and led my people Israel astray.
14And among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: They commit adultery and live a lie. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from his wickedness. They are all like Sodom to me; the people of Jerusalem are like Gomorrah.'
15Therefore, this is what the LORD Almighty says concerning the prophets: 'I will make them eat bitter food and drink poisoned water, because from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has spread throughout the land.'
16This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.
17They keep saying to those who despise me, 'The LORD says: You will have peace.' And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts they say, 'No harm will come to you.'
18But which of them has stood in the council of the LORD to see or to hear his word? Who has listened and heard his word?
19See, the storm of the LORD will burst out in wrath, a whirlwind swirling down on the heads of the wicked.
20The anger of the LORD will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart. In days to come you will understand it clearly.
21I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied.
22But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people and would have turned them from their evil ways and from their evil deeds.
23'Am I only a God nearby,' declares the LORD, 'and not a God far away?
24Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see him?' declares the LORD. 'Do not I fill heaven and earth?' declares the LORD.
25"I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name. They say, 'I had a dream! I had a dream!'
26How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds?
27They think the dreams they tell one another will make my people forget my name, just as their fathers forgot my name through Baal worship.
28Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream, but let the one who has my word speak it faithfully. For what has straw to do with grain?' declares the LORD.
29'Is not my word like fire,' declares the LORD, 'and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
30'Therefore,' declares the LORD, 'I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from me.
31Yes," declares the LORD, "I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, 'The LORD declares.'
32Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,' declares the LORD. 'They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least,' declares the LORD.
33"When these people, or a prophet or a priest, ask you, 'What is the oracle of the LORD ?' say to them, 'What oracle? I will forsake you, declares the LORD.'
34If a prophet or a priest or anyone else claims, 'This is the oracle of the LORD,' I will punish that man and his household.
35This is what each of you keeps on saying to his friend or relative: 'What is the LORD's answer?' or 'What has the LORD spoken?'
36But you must not mention 'the oracle of the LORD ' again, because every man's own word becomes his oracle and so you distort the words of the living God, the LORD Almighty, our God.
37This is what you keep saying to a prophet: 'What is the LORD's answer to you?' or 'What has the LORD spoken?'
38Although you claim, 'This is the oracle of the LORD,' this is what the LORD says: You used the words, 'This is the oracle of the LORD,' even though I told you that you must not claim, 'This is the oracle of the LORD.'
39Therefore, I will surely forget you and cast you out of my presence along with the city I gave to you and your fathers.
40I will bring upon you everlasting disgrace-everlasting shame that will not be forgotten.'

예레미야21장
1-2시드기야왕이 말기야의 아들 바스훌과 제사장 마아세야의 아들 스바냐를 보내어 예레미야에게 말하기를 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 우리를 치니 청컨대 너는 우리를 위하여 여호와께 간구하라 여호와께서 혹시 그 모든 기사로 우리를 도와 행하시면 그가 우리를 떠나리라 하던 그 때에 여호와께로부터 예레미야에게 말씀이 임하니라
3예레미야가 그들에게 대답하되 너희는 시드기야에게 이같이 말하라
4이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 보라 너희가 성밖에서 바벨론 왕과 또 너희를 에운 갈대아인과 싸우는바 너희 손에 가진 병기를 내가 돌이킬 것이요 그들을 이 성중에 모아 들이리라
5내가 든 손과 강한 팔 곧 노와 분과 대노로 친히 너희를 칠 것이며
6내가 또 이 성에 거주하는 자를 사람이나 짐승이나 다 치리니 그들이 큰 염병에 죽으리라 하셨다 하라
7여호와께서 또 말씀하시되 그 후에 내가 유다 왕 시드기야와 그 신하들과 백성과 및 이 성읍에서 염병과 칼과 기근에서 남은 자를 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 손과 그 대적의 손과 그 생명을 찾는 자들의 손에 붙이리니 그가 칼날로 그들을 치되 아끼지 아니하며 긍휼히 여기지 아니하며 불쌍히 여기지 아니하리라 하셨느니라
8여호와께서 가라사대 너는 또 이 백성에게 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하신다 하라 보라 내가 너희 앞에 생명의 길과 사망의 길을 두었노니
9이 성에 거주하는 자는 칼과 기근과 염병에 죽으려니와 너희를 에운 갈대아인에게 나가서 항복하는 자는 살리니 그의 생명은 노략한것 같이 얻으리라
10나 여호와가 말하노라 내가 나의 얼굴을 이 성으로 향함은 복을 위함이 아니요 화를 위함이라 이 성이 바벨론 왕의 손에 붙임이 될 것이요 그는 그것을 불로 사르리라
11유다 왕의 집에 대한 여호와의 말을 들으라
12나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 다윗의 집이여 너는 아침마다 공평히 판결하여 탈취 당한 자를 압박자의 손에서 건지라 그리하지 아니하면 너희의 악행을 인하여 내 노가 불 같이 일어나서 사르리니 능히 끌 자가 없으리라
13나 여호와가 이르노라 골짜기와 평원 반석의 거민아 보라 너희가 말하기를 누가 내려와서 우리를 치리요 누가 우리의 거처에 들어 오리요 하거니와 나는 네 대적이라
14내가 너희 행위대로 벌할 것이요 내가 또 수풀에 불을 놓아 그 사경을 사르리라 여호와의 말이니라
Jeremiah21
1The word came to Jeremiah from the LORD when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur son of Malkijah and the priest Zephaniah son of Maaseiah. They said:
2'Inquire now of the LORD for us because Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is attacking us. Perhaps the LORD will perform wonders for us as in times past so that he will withdraw from us.'
3But Jeremiah answered them, 'Tell Zedekiah,
4'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I am about to turn against you the weapons of war that are in your hands, which you are using to fight the king of Babylon and the Babylonians who are outside the wall besieging you. And I will gather them inside this city.
5I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and a mighty arm in anger and fury and great wrath.
6I will strike down those who live in this city-both men and animals-and they will die of a terrible plague.
7After that, declares the LORD, I will hand over Zedekiah king of Judah, his officials and the people in this city who survive the plague, sword and famine, to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and to their enemies who seek their lives. He will put them to the sword; he will show them no mercy or pity or compassion.'
8"Furthermore, tell the people, 'This is what the LORD says: See, I am setting before you the way of life and the way of death.
9Whoever stays in this city will die by the sword, famine or plague. But whoever goes out and surrenders to the Babylonians who are besieging you will live; he will escape with his life.
10I have determined to do this city harm and not good, declares the LORD. It will be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and he will destroy it with fire.'
11"Moreover, say to the royal house of Judah, 'Hear the word of the LORD;
12O house of David, this is what the LORD says: " 'Administer justice every morning; rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed, or my wrath will break out and burn like fire because of the evil you have done-burn with no one to quench it.
13I am against you, Jerusalem, you who live above this valley on the rocky plateau, declares the LORD-you who say, 'Who can come against us? Who can enter our refuge?'
14I will punish you as your deeds deserve, declares the LORD. I will kindle a fire in your forests that will consume everything around you.' "
예레미야22장
1여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 너는 유다 왕의 집에 내려가서 거기서 이를 선언하여
2이르기를 다윗의 위에 앉은 유다 왕이여 너와 네 신하와 이 문들로 들어오는 네 백성은 여호와의 말씀을 들을찌니라
3여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 너희가 공평과 정의를 행하여 탈취 당한 자를 압박하는 자의 손에서 건지고 이방인과 고아와 과부를 압제하거나 학대하지 말며 이곳에서 무죄한 피를 흘리지 말라
4너희가 참으로 이 말을 준행하면 다윗의 위에 앉을 왕들과 신하들과 백성이 병거와 말을 타고 이집 문으로 들어 오게 되리라마는
5너희가 이 말을 듣지 아니하면 내가 나로 맹세하노니 이 집이 황무하리라 나 여호와의 말이니라
6나 여호와가 유다 왕의 집에 대하여 이같이 말하노라 네가 내게 길르앗 같고 레바논의 꼭대기 같으나 내가 정녕히 너로 광야와 거민이 없는 성을 만들 것이라
7내가 너 파멸할 자를 준비하리니 그들이 각기 손에 병기를 가지고 네 아름다운 백향목을 찍어 불에 던지리라
8여러 나라 사람이 이 성으로 지나며 피차 말하기를 여호와가 이 큰 성에 이같이 행함은 어찜인고 하겠고
9대답하기는 이는 그들이 자기 하나님 여호와의 언약을 버리고 다른 신들에게 절하고 그를 섬긴 연고라 하리라 하셨다 할찌니라
10너희는 죽은 자를 위하여 울지 말며 그를 위하여 애통하지 말고 잡혀간 자를 위하여 슬피 울라 그는 다시 돌아와서 그 고국을 보지 못할 것임이니라
11나 여호와가 유다왕 요시야의 아들 곧 그 아비 요시야를 이어 왕이 되었다가 이곳에서 나간 살룸에 대하여 말하노라 그가 이곳으로 다시 돌아 오지 못하고
12잡혀간 곳에서 죽으리니 이 땅을 다시 보지 못하리라
13불의로 그 집을 세우며 불공평으로 그 다락방을 지으며 그 이웃을 고용하고 그 고가를 주지 아니하는 자에게 화 있을찐저
14그가 이르기를 내가 나를 위하여 광대한 집과 광활한 다락방을 지으리라 하고 자기를 위하여 창을 만들고 그것에 백향목으로 입히고 붉은 빛으로 칠하도다
15네가 백향목으로 집 짓기를 경쟁하므로 왕이 될 수 있겠느냐 네 아비가 먹으며 마시지 아니하였으며 공평과 의리를 행치 아니하였느냐 그 때에 그가 형통하였었느니라
16그는 가난한 자와 궁핍한 자를 신원하고 형통하였나니 이것이 나를 앎이 아니냐 여호와의 말이니라
17그러나 네 눈과 마음은 탐남과 무죄한 피를 흘림과 압박과 강포를 행하려 할 뿐이니라
18그러므로 나 여호와가 유다 왕 요시야의 아들 여호야김에게 대하여 이같이 말하노라 무리가 그를 위하여 슬프다 내 형제여, 슬프다 내 자매여 하며 통곡하지 아니할 것이며 그를 위하여 슬프다 주여 슬프다 그 영광이여 하며 통곡하지도 아니할 것이라
19그가 끌려 예루살렘 문밖에 던지우고 나귀 같이 매장함을 당하리라
20너는 레바논에 올라 외치며 바산에서 네 소리를 높이며 아바림에서 외치라 이는 너를 사랑하는 자가 다 멸망하였음이니라
21네가 평안할 때에 내가 네게 말하였으나 네 말이 나는 듣지 아니하리라 하였나니 네가 어려서부터 내 목소리를 청종치 아니함이 네 습관이라
22네 목자들은 다 바람에 삼키울 것이요 너를 사랑하는 자들은 사로잡혀 가리니 그 때에 네가 반드시 네 모든 악을 인하여 수치와 욕을 당하리라
23레바논에 거하여 백향목에 깃들이는 자여 여인의 해산하는 고통 같은 고통이 네게 임할 때에 너의 가련함이 얼마나 심하랴
24나 여호와가 말하노라 나의 삶으로 맹세하노니 유다 왕 여호야김의 아들 너 고니야가 나의 오른손의 인장반지라 할찌라도 내가 빼어
25네 생명을 찾는 자의 손과 너의 두려워하는 자의 손 곧 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 손과 갈대아인의 손에 줄 것이라
26내가 너와 너를 낳은 어미를 너희가 나지 아니한 다른 지방에 쫓아내리니 너희가 거기서 죽고
27너희 마음에 돌아오기를 사모하는 땅에 돌아 오지 못하리라
28이 사람 고니야는 천한 파기냐 좋아하지 아니하는 그릇이냐 어찌하여 그와 그 자손이 쫓겨나서 알지 못하는 땅에 들어 갔는고
29땅이여, 땅이여, 땅이여, 여호와의 말을 들을찌니라
30나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 너희는 이 사람이 무자하겠고 그 평생에 형통치 못할 자라 기록하라 이는 그 자손 중 형통하여 다윗의 위에 앉아 유다를 다스릴 사람이 다시는 없을 것임이니라
Jeremiah22
1This is what the LORD says: 'Go down to the palace of the king of Judah and proclaim this message there:
2'Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, you who sit on David's throne-you, your officials and your people who come through these gates.
3This is what the LORD says: Do what is just and right. Rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed. Do no wrong or violence to the alien, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place.
4For if you are careful to carry out these commands, then kings who sit on David's throne will come through the gates of this palace, riding in chariots and on horses, accompanied by their officials and their people.
5But if you do not obey these commands, declares the LORD, I swear by myself that this palace will become a ruin.' "
6For this is what the LORD says about the palace of the king of Judah: 'Though you are like Gilead to me, like the summit of Lebanon, I will surely make you like a desert, like towns not inhabited.
7I will send destroyers against you, each man with his weapons, and they will cut up your fine cedar beams and throw them into the fire.
8"People from many nations will pass by this city and will ask one another, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this great city?'
9And the answer will be: 'Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God and have worshiped and served other gods.' "
10Do not weep for the dead king or mourn his loss; rather, weep bitterly for him who is exiled, because he will never return nor see his native land again.
11For this is what the LORD says about Shallum son of Josiah, who succeeded his father as king of Judah but has gone from this place: 'He will never return.
12He will die in the place where they have led him captive; he will not see this land again.'
13'Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, his upper rooms by injustice, making his countrymen work for nothing, not paying them for their labor.
14He says, 'I will build myself a great palace with spacious upper rooms.' So he makes large windows in it, panels it with cedar and decorates it in red.
15'Does it make you a king to have more and more cedar? Did not your father have food and drink? He did what was right and just, so all went well with him.
16He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?' declares the LORD.
17'But your eyes and your heart are set only on dishonest gain, on shedding innocent blood and on oppression and extortion.'
18Therefore this is what the LORD says about Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah: "They will not mourn for him: 'Alas, my brother! Alas, my sister!' They will not mourn for him: 'Alas, my master! Alas, his splendor!'
19He will have the burial of a donkey-dragged away and thrown outside the gates of Jerusalem.'
20'Go up to Lebanon and cry out, let your voice be heard in Bashan, cry out from Abarim, for all your allies are crushed.
21I warned you when you felt secure, but you said, 'I will not listen!' This has been your way from your youth; you have not obeyed me.
22The wind will drive all your shepherds away, and your allies will go into exile. Then you will be ashamed and disgraced because of all your wickedness.
23You who live in 'Lebanon,' who are nestled in cedar buildings, how you will groan when pangs come upon you, pain like that of a woman in labor!
24'As surely as I live,' declares the LORD, 'even if you, Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, were a signet ring on my right hand, I would still pull you off.
25I will hand you over to those who seek your life, those you fear-to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and to the Babylonians.
26I will hurl you and the mother who gave you birth into another country, where neither of you was born, and there you both will die.
27You will never come back to the land you long to return to.'
28Is this man Jehoiachin a despised, broken pot, an object no one wants? Why will he and his children be hurled out, cast into a land they do not know?
29O land, land, land, hear the word of the LORD!
30This is what the LORD says: 'Record this man as if childless, a man who will not prosper in his lifetime, for none of his offspring will prosper, none will sit on the throne of David or rule anymore in Judah.'

예레미야19장
1여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 가서 토기장이의 오지병을 사고 백성의 어른들과 제사장의 어른 몇 사람을 데리고
2하시드문 어귀 곁에 있는 힌놈의 아들의 골짜기로 가서 거기서 내가 네게 이른 말을 선포하여
3이르기를 너희 유다 왕들과 예루살렘 거민아 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말씀하시되 보라 내가 이곳에 재앙을 내릴 것이라 무릇 그것을 듣는 자의 귀가 진동하리니
4이는 그들이 나를 버리고 이곳을 불결케 하며 이곳에서 자기와 자기 열조와 유다 왕들의 알지 못하던 다른 신들에게 분향하며 무죄한 자의 피로 이곳에 채웠음이며
5또 그들이 바알을 위하여 산당을 건축하고 자기 아들들을 바알에게 번제로 불살라 드렸나니 이는 내가 명하거나 말하거나 뜻한 바가 아니니라
6그러므로 나 여호와가 말하노라 보라 다시는 이곳을 도벳이나 힌놈의 아들의 골짜기라 칭하지 아니하고 살륙의 골짜기라 칭하는 날이 이를 것이라
7내가 이곳에서 유다와 예루살렘의 모계를 무효케 하여 그들로 그 대적 앞과 생명을 찾는 자의 손의 칼에 엎드러지게 하고 그 시체를 공중의 새와 땅 짐승의 밥이 되게 하며
8이 성으로 놀람과 모욕거리가 되게 하리니 그 모든 재앙을 인하여 지나는 자마다 놀라며 모욕할 것이며
9그들이 그 대적과 그들의 생명을 찾는 자에게 둘러싸여 곤핍을 당할 때에 내가 그들로 그 아들의 고기, 딸의 고기를 먹게 하고 또 각기 친구의 고기를 먹게 하리라 하셨다 하고
10너는 함께 가는 자의 목전에서 그 오지병을 깨뜨리고
11그들에게 이르기를 만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 사람이 토기장이의 그릇을 한번 깨뜨리면 다시 완전하게 할 수 없나니 이와 같이 내가 이 백성과 이 성을 파하리니 그들을 매장할 자리가 없도록 도벳에 장사하리라
12나 여호와가 말하노라 내가 이곳과 그 중 거민에게 이같이 행하여 이 성으로 도벳 같게 할 것이라
13예루살렘 집들과 유다 왕들의 집들 곧 그 집들이 그 집 위에서 하늘의 만상에 분향하고 다른 신들에게 전제를 부음으로 더러워졌은즉 도벳 땅처럼 되리라 하셨다 하라
14예레미야가 여호와께서 자기를 보내사 예언하게 하신 도벳에서 돌아와 여호와의 집 뜰에 서서 모든 백성에게 말하되
15만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 말씀하시되 보라 내가 이 성에 대하여 선언한 모든 재앙을 이 성과 그 모든 촌락에 내리리니 이는 그 목을 곧게 하여 내 말을 듣지 아니함이니라 하셨다 하라
Jeremiah19
1This is what the LORD says: 'Go and buy a clay jar from a potter. Take along some of the elders of the people and of the priests
2and go out to the Valley of Ben Hinnom, near the entrance of the Potsherd Gate. There proclaim the words I tell you,
3and say, 'Hear the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah and people of Jerusalem. This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Listen! I am going to bring a disaster on this place that will make the ears of everyone who hears of it tingle.
4For they have forsaken me and made this a place of foreign gods; they have burned sacrifices in it to gods that neither they nor their fathers nor the kings of Judah ever knew, and they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent.
5They have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as offerings to Baal-something I did not command or mention, nor did it enter my mind.
6So beware, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when people will no longer call this place Topheth or the Valley of Ben Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter.
7" 'In this place I will ruin the plans of Judah and Jerusalem. I will make them fall by the sword before their enemies, at the hands of those who seek their lives, and I will give their carcasses as food to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth.
8I will devastate this city and make it an object of scorn; all who pass by will be appalled and will scoff because of all its wounds.
9I will make them eat the flesh of their sons and daughters, and they will eat one another's flesh during the stress of the siege imposed on them by the enemies who seek their lives.'
10'Then break the jar while those who go with you are watching,
11and say to them, 'This is what the LORD Almighty says: I will smash this nation and this city just as this potter's jar is smashed and cannot be repaired. They will bury the dead in Topheth until there is no more room.
12This is what I will do to this place and to those who live here, declares the LORD. I will make this city like Topheth.
13The houses in Jerusalem and those of the kings of Judah will be defiled like this place, Topheth-all the houses where they burned incense on the roofs to all the starry hosts and poured out drink offerings to other gods.' "
14Jeremiah then returned from Topheth, where the LORD had sent him to prophesy, and stood in the court of the LORD's temple and said to all the people,
15"This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: 'Listen! I am going to bring on this city and the villages around it every disaster I pronounced against them, because they were stiff-necked and would not listen to my words.' "
예레미야20장
1제사장 임멜의 아들 바스훌은 여호와의 집 유사장이라 그가 예레미야의 이 일 예언함을 들은지라
2이에 바스훌이 선지자 예레미야를 때리고 여호와의 집 베냐민의 윗문에 있는 착고에 채웠더니
3다음날 바스훌이 예레미야를 착고에서 놓아 주매 예레미야가 그에게 이르되 여호와께서 네 이름을 바스훌이라 아니하시고 마골밋사빕이라 하시느니라
4대저 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 보라 내가 너로 너와 네 모든 친구에게 두려움이 되게 하리니 그들이 그 원수의 칼에 엎드러질 것이요 네 눈은 그것을 볼 것이며 내가 온 유다를 바벨론 왕의 손에 붙이리니 그가 그들을 사로잡아 바벨론으로 옮겨 칼로 죽이리라
5내가 또 이 성의 모든 부와 그 모든 소득과 그 모든 귀물과 유다 왕들의 모든 보물을 그 원수의 손에 붙이리니 그들이 그것을 탈취하여 바벨론으로 가져가리라
6바스훌아 너와 네 집에 거하는 모든 자가 포로되어 옮기우리니 네가 바벨론에 이르러 거기서 죽어 거기 묻힐 것이라 너와 네가 거짓 예언을 하여 들린 네 모든 친구도 일반이리라 하셨느니라
7여호와여 주께서 나를 권유하시므로 내가 그 권유를 받았사오며 주께서 나보다 강하사 이기셨으므로 내가 조롱거리가 되니 사람마다 종일토록 나를 조롱하나이다
8대저 내가 말할 때마다 외치며 강포와 멸망을 부르짖으오니 여호와의 말씀으로 하여 내가 종일토록 치욕과 모욕거리가 됨이니이다
9내가 다시는 여호와를 선포하지 아니하며 그 이름으로 말하지 아니하리라 하면 나의 중심이 불붙는것 같아서 골수에 사무치니 답답하여 견딜 수 없나이다
10나는 무리의 비방과 사방의 두려움을 들었나이다 그들이 이르기를 고소하라 우리도 고소하리라 하오며 나의 친한 벗도 다 나의 타락하기를 기다리며 피차 이르기를 그가 혹시 유혹을 받으리니 우리가 그를 이기어 우리 원수를 갚자 하나이다
11그러하오나 여호와는 두려운 용사 같으시며 나와 함께하시는고로 나를 박해하는 자가 넘어지고 이기지 못할 것이오며 그들은 지혜롭게 행치 못하므로 큰 수욕을 당하오리니 그 수욕은 영영히 잊지 못할 것이니이다
12의인을 시험하사 그 폐부와 심장을 보시는 만군의 여호와여 나의 사정을 주께 아뢰었사온즉 주께서 그들에게 보수하심을 나로 보게 하옵소서
13여호와께 노래하라 너희는 여호와를 찬양하라 가난한 자의 생명을 행악자의 손에서 구원하셨음이니라
14내 생일이 저주를 받았더면, 나의 어미가 나를 생산하던 날이 복이 없었더면,
15나의 아비에게 소식을 전하여 이르기를 네가 생남하였다 하여 아비를 즐겁게 하던 자가 저주를 받았더면,
16그 사람은 여호와께서 훼파하시고 후회치 아니하신 성읍 같이 되었더면, 그로 아침에는 부르짖는 소리, 낮에는 떠드는 소리를 듣게 하였더면,
17이는 그가 나를 태에서 죽이지 아니하셨으며 나의 어미로 내 무덤이 되게 하지 아니하셨으며 그 배로 항상 부르게 하지 아니하신 연고로다
18어찌하여 내가 태에서 나와서 고생과 슬픔을 보며 나의 날을 수욕으로 보내는고
Jeremiah20
1When the priest Pashhur son of Immer, the chief officer in the temple of the LORD, heard Jeremiah prophesying these things,
2he had Jeremiah the prophet beaten and put in the stocks at the Upper Gate of Benjamin at the LORD's temple.
3The next day, when Pashhur released him from the stocks, Jeremiah said to him, "The LORD's name for you is not Pashhur, but Magor-Missabib.
4For this is what the LORD says: 'I will make you a terror to yourself and to all your friends; with your own eyes you will see them fall by the sword of their enemies. I will hand all Judah over to the king of Babylon, who will carry them away to Babylon or put them to the sword.
5I will hand over to their enemies all the wealth of this city-all its products, all its valuables and all the treasures of the kings of Judah. They will take it away as plunder and carry it off to Babylon.
6And you, Pashhur, and all who live in your house will go into exile to Babylon. There you will die and be buried, you and all your friends to whom you have prophesied lies.' "
7O LORD, you deceived me, and I was deceived; you overpowered me and prevailed. I am ridiculed all day long; everyone mocks me.
8Whenever I speak, I cry out proclaiming violence and destruction. So the word of the LORD has brought me insult and reproach all day long.
9But if I say, 'I will not mention him or speak any more in his name,' his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.
10I hear many whispering, "Terror on every side! Report him! Let's report him!" All my friends are waiting for me to slip, saying, "Perhaps he will be deceived; then we will prevail over him and take our revenge on him."
11But the LORD is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten.
12O LORD Almighty, you who examine the righteous and probe the heart and mind, let me see your vengeance upon them, for to you I have committed my cause.
13Sing to the LORD! Give praise to the LORD! He rescues the life of the needy from the hands of the wicked.
14Cursed be the day I was born! May the day my mother bore me not be blessed!
15Cursed be the man who brought my father the news, who made him very glad, saying, 'A child is born to you-a son!'
16May that man be like the towns the LORD overthrew without pity. May he hear wailing in the morning, a battle cry at noon.
17For he did not kill me in the womb, with my mother as my grave, her womb enlarged forever.
18Why did I ever come out of the womb to see trouble and sorrow and to end my days in shame?

God's absolute power
예레미야18장
1여호와께로부터 예레미야에게 임한 말씀에 가라사대
2너는 일어나 토기장이의 집으로 내려가라 내가 거기서 내 말을 네게 들리리라 하시기로
3내가 토기장이의 집으로 내려가서 본즉 그가 녹로로 일을 하는데
4진흙으로 만든 그릇이 토기장이의 손에서 파상하매 그가 그것으로 자기 의견에 선한대로 다른 그릇을 만들더라
5때에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하니라 가라사대
6나 여호와가 이르노라 이스라엘 족속아 이 토기장이의 하는것 같이 내가 능히 너희에게 행하지 못하겠느냐 이스라엘 족속아 진흙이 토기장이의 손에 있음 같이 너희가 내 손에 있느니라
7내가 언제든지 어느 민족이나 국가를 뽑거나 파하거나 멸하리라 한다고 하자
8만일 나의 말한 그 민족이 그 악에서 돌이키면 내가 그에게 내리기로 생각하였던 재앙에 대하여 뜻을 돌이키겠고
9내가 언제든지 어느 민족이나 국가를 건설하거나 심으리라 한다고 하자
10만일 그들이 나 보기에 악한 것을 행하여 내 목소리를 청종치 아니하면 내가 그에게 유익케 하리라 한 선에 대하여 뜻을 돌이키리라
11그러므로 이제 너는 유다 사람들과 예루살렘 거민들에게 말하여 이르기를 여호와의 말씀에 보라 내가 너희에게 재앙을 내리며 계책을 베풀어 너희를 치려하노니 너희는 각기 악한 길에서 돌이키며 너희 길과 행위를 선하게 하라 하셨다 하라
12그러나 그들이 말하기를 이는 헛된 말이라 우리는 우리의 도모대로 행하며 우리는 각기 악한 마음의 강퍅한대로 행하리라 하느니라
13그러므로 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 너희는 누가 이러한 일을 들었는가 열방 중에 물어보라 처녀 이스라엘이 심히 가증한 일을 행하였도다
14레바논의 눈이 어찌 들의 반석을 떠나겠으며 원방에서 흘러내리는 찬물이 어찌 마르겠느냐
15대저 내 백성은 나를 잊고 허무한 것에게 분향하거니와 이러한 것들은 그들로 그 길 곧 그 옛길에서 넘어지게 하며 곁길 곧 닦지 아니한 길로 행케 하여
16그들의 땅으로 놀랍고 영영한 치소가 되게 하리니 그리로 지나는 자마다 놀라서 그 머리를 흔들리라
17내가 그들을 그 원수 앞에서 흩기를 동풍으로 함 같이 할 것이며 그들의 재난의 날에는 내가 그들에게 등을 보이고 얼굴을 보이지 아니하리라
18그들이 말하기를 오라 우리가 꾀를 내어 예레미야를 치자 제사장에게서 율법이, 지혜로운 자에게서 모략이, 선지자에게서 말씀이 끊어지지 아니할 것이니 오라 우리가 혀로 그를 치고 그의 아무 말에도 주의치 말자 하나이다
19여호와여 나를 돌아 보사 나로 더불어 다투는 그들의 목소리를 들어보옵소서
20어찌 악으로 선을 갚으리이까마는 그들이 나의 생명을 해하려고 구덩이를 팠나이다 내가 주의 분노를 그들에게서 돌이키려 하고 주의 앞에 서서 그들을 위하여 선한 말씀한 것을 기억하옵소서
21그러하온즉 그들의 자녀를 기근에 내어주시며 그들을 칼의 세력에 붙이시며 그들의 아내들은 자녀를 잃고 과부가 되며 그 장정은 사망을 당하며 그 청년은 전장에서 칼을 맞게 하시며
22주께서 군대로 졸지에 그들에게 임하게 하사 그들의 집에서 부르짖음이 들리게 하옵소서 이는 그들이 나를 취하려고 구덩이를 팠고 내 발을 빠치려고 올무를 베풀었음이니이다
23여호와여 그들이 나를 죽이려 하는 계략을 주께서 다 아시오니 그 악을 사하지 마시며 그 죄를 주의 목전에서 도말치 마시고 그들로 주의 앞에 넘어지게 하시되 주의 노하시는 때에 이같이 그들에게 행하옵소서
Jeremiah18
1This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD :
2"Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message."
3So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel.
4But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.
5Then the word of the LORD came to me:
6'O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?' declares the LORD. 'Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.
7If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed,
8and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned.
9And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted,
10and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it.
11"Now therefore say to the people of Judah and those living in Jerusalem, 'This is what the LORD says: Look! I am preparing a disaster for you and devising a plan against you. So turn from your evil ways, each one of you, and reform your ways and your actions.'
12But they will reply, 'It's no use. We will continue with our own plans; each of us will follow the stubbornness of his evil heart.' "
13Therefore this is what the LORD says: 'Inquire among the nations: Who has ever heard anything like this? A most horrible thing has been done by Virgin Israel.
14Does the snow of Lebanon ever vanish from its rocky slopes? Do its cool waters from distant sources ever cease to flow?
15Yet my people have forgotten me; they burn incense to worthless idols, which made them stumble in their ways and in the ancient paths. They made them walk in bypaths and on roads not built up.
16Their land will be laid waste, an object of lasting scorn; all who pass by will be appalled and will shake their heads.
17Like a wind from the east, I will scatter them before their enemies; I will show them my back and not my face in the day of their disaster.'
18They said, "Come, let's make plans against Jeremiah; for the teaching of the law by the priest will not be lost, nor will counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophets. So come, let's attack him with our tongues and pay no attention to anything he says."
19Listen to me, O LORD; hear what my accusers are saying!
20Should good be repaid with evil? Yet they have dug a pit for me. Remember that I stood before you and spoke in their behalf to turn your wrath away from them.
21So give their children over to famine; hand them over to the power of the sword. Let their wives be made childless and widows; let their men be put to death, their young men slain by the sword in battle.
22Let a cry be heard from their houses when you suddenly bring invaders against them, for they have dug a pit to capture me and have hidden snares for my feet.
23But you know, O LORD, all their plots to kill me. Do not forgive their crimes or blot out their sins from your sight. Let them be overthrown before you; deal with them in the time of your anger.
