교회의 가증한 행위
The detestable act of the church
에스겔8장
1제 육년 유월 오일에 나는 집에 앉았고 유다 장로들은 내 앞에 앉았는데 주 여호와의 권능이 거기서 내게 임하기로
2내가 보니 불 같은 형상이 있어 그 허리 이하 모양은 불 같고 허리 이상은 광채가 나서 단 쇠 같은데
3그가 손 같은 것을 펴서 내 머리털 한 모숨을 잡으며 주의 신이 나를 들어 천지 사이로 올리시고 하나님의 이상 가운데 나를 이끌어 예루살렘으로 가서 안뜰로 들어가는 북향한 문에 이르시니 거기는 투기의 우상 곧 투기를 격발케 하는 우상의 자리가 있는 곳이라
4이스라엘 하나님의 영광이 거기 있는데 내가 들에서 보던 이상과 같더라
5그가 내게 이르시되 인자야 이제 너는 눈을 들어 북편을 바라보라 하시기로 내가 눈을 들어 북편을 바라보니 제단 문 어귀 북편에 그 투기의 우상이 있더라
6그가 또 내게 이르시되 인자야 이스라엘 족속의 행하는 일을 보느냐 그들이 여기서 크게 가증한 일을 행하여 나로 내 성소를 멀리 떠나게 하느니라 너는 다시 다른 큰 가증한 일을 보리라 하시더라
7그가 나를 이끌고 뜰 문에 이르시기로 내가 본즉 담에 구멍이 있더라
8그가 내게 이르시되 인자야 너는 이 담을 헐라 하시기로 내가 그 담을 허니 한 문이 있더라
9또 내게 이르시되 들어가서 그들이 거기서 행하는 가증하고 악한 일을 보라 하시기로
10내가 들어가보니 각양 곤충과 가증한 짐승과 이스라엘 족속의 모든 우상을 그 사면 벽에 그렸고
11이스라엘 족속의 장로 중 칠십인이 그 앞에 섰으며 사반의 아들 야아사냐도 그 가운데 섰고 각기 손에 향로를 들었는데 향연이 구름 같이 오르더라
12또 내게 이르시되 인자야 이스라엘 족속의 장로들이 각각 그 우상의 방안 어두운 가운데서 행하는 것을 네가 보았느냐 그들이 이르기를 여호와께서 우리를 보지 아니하시며 이 땅을 버리셨다 하느니라
13또 내게 이르시되 너는 다시 그들의 행하는바 다른 큰 가증한 일을 보리라 하시더라
14그가 또 나를 데리고 여호와의 전으로 들어가는 북문에 이르시기로 보니 거기 여인들이 앉아 담무스를 위하여 애곡하더라
15그가 또 내게 이르시되 인자야 네가 그것을 보았느냐 너는 또 이보다 더 큰 가증한 일을 보리라 하시더라
16그가 또 나를 데리고 여호와의 전 안뜰에 들어가시기로 보니 여호와의 전문 앞 현관과 제단 사이에서 약 이십 오인이 여호와의 전을 등지고 낯을 동으로 향하여 동방 태양에 경배하더라
17또 내게 이르시되 인자야 네가 보았느냐 유다 족속이 여기서 행한 가증한 일을 적다 하겠느냐 그들이 강포로 이 땅에 채우고 또 다시 내 노를 격동하고 심지어 나무가지를 그 코에 두었느니라
18그러므로 나도 분노로 갚아 아껴 보지 아니하고 긍휼을 베풀지도 아니하리니 그들이 큰 소리로 내 귀에 부르짖을찌라도 내가 듣지 아니하리라
Ezekiel08
1In the sixth year, in the sixth month on the fifth day, while I was sitting in my house and the elders of Judah were sitting before me, the hand of the Sovereign LORD came upon me there.
2I looked, and I saw a figure like that of a man. From what appeared to be his waist down he was like fire, and from there up his appearance was as bright as glowing metal.
3He stretched out what looked like a hand and took me by the hair of my head. The Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven and in visions of God he took me to Jerusalem, to the entrance to the north gate of the inner court, where the idol that provokes to jealousy stood.
4And there before me was the glory of the God of Israel, as in the vision I had seen in the plain.
5Then he said to me, 'Son of man, look toward the north.' So I looked, and in the entrance north of the gate of the altar I saw this idol of jealousy.
6And he said to me, 'Son of man, do you see what they are doing-the utterly detestable things the house of Israel is doing here, things that will drive me far from my sanctuary? But you will see things that are even more detestable.'
7Then he brought me to the entrance to the court. I looked, and I saw a hole in the wall.
8He said to me, 'Son of man, now dig into the wall.' So I dug into the wall and saw a doorway there.
9And he said to me, 'Go in and see the wicked and detestable things they are doing here.'
10So I went in and looked, and I saw portrayed all over the walls all kinds of crawling things and detestable animals and all the idols of the house of Israel.
11In front of them stood seventy elders of the house of Israel, and Jaazaniah son of Shaphan was standing among them. Each had a censer in his hand, and a fragrant cloud of incense was rising.
12He said to me, "Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his own idol? They say, 'The LORD does not see us; the LORD has forsaken the land.' "
13Again, he said, 'You will see them doing things that are even more detestable.'
14Then he brought me to the entrance to the north gate of the house of the LORD, and I saw women sitting there, mourning for Tammuz.
15He said to me, 'Do you see this, son of man? You will see things that are even more detestable than this.'
16He then brought me into the inner court of the house of the LORD, and there at the entrance to the temple, between the portico and the altar, were about twenty-five men. With their backs toward the temple of the LORD and their faces toward the east, they were bowing down to the sun in the east.
17He said to me, 'Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a trivial matter for the house of Judah to do the detestable things they are doing here? Must they also fill the land with violence and continually provoke me to anger? Look at them putting the branch to their nose!
18Therefore I will deal with them in anger; I will not look on them with pity or spare them. Although they shout in my ears, I will not listen to them.'

에스겔7장
1여호와의 말씀이 또 내게 임하여 가라사대
2너 인자야 주 여호와 내가 이스라엘 땅에 대하여 말하노라 끝났도다 이 땅 사방의 일이 끝났도다
3이제는 네게 끝이 이르렀나니 내가 내 진노를 네게 발하여 네 행위를 국문하고 너의 모든 가증한 일을 보응하리라
4내가 너를 아껴 보지 아니하며 긍휼히 여기지도 아니하고 네 행위대로 너를 벌하여 너의 가증한 일이 너희 중에 나타나게 하리니 너희가 나를 여호와인줄 알리라
5주 여호와께서 가라사대 재앙이로다, 비상한 재앙이로다 볼찌어다 임박하도다
6끝이 났도다, 끝이 났도다, 끝이 너를 치러 일어났나니 볼찌어다 임박하도다
7이 땅 거민아 정한 재앙이 네게 임하도다 때가 이르렀고 날이 가까왔으니 요란한 날이요 산에서 즐거이 부르는 날이 아니로다
8이제 내가 속히 분을 네게 쏟고 내 진노를 네게 이루어서 네 행위대로 너를 심판하여 네 모든 가증한 일을 네게 보응하되
9내가 너를 아껴 보지 아니하며 긍휼히 여기지도 아니하고 네 행위대로 너를 벌하여 너의 가증한 일이 너희 중에 나타나게 하리니 나 여호와가 치는 줄을 네가 알리라
10볼찌어다 그 날이로다 볼찌어다 임박하도다 정한 재앙이 이르렀으니 몽둥이가 꽃 피며 교만이 싹났도다
11포학이 일어나서 죄악의 몽둥이가 되었은즉 그들도, 그 무리도, 그 재물도 하나도 남지 아니하고 그 중의 아름다운 것도 없어지리로다
12때가 이르렀고 날이 가까왔으니 사는 자도 기뻐하지 말고 파는 자도 근심하지 말 것은 진노가 그 모든 무리에게 임함이로다
13판 자가 살아 있다 할찌라도 다시 돌아가서 그 판 것을 얻지 못하리니 이는 묵시로 그 모든 무리를 가리켜 말하기를 하나도 돌아갈 자가 없겠고 악한 생활로 스스로 강하게 할 자도 없으리라 하였음이로다
14그들이 나팔을 불어 온갖 것을 예비하였을찌라도 전쟁에 나갈 사람이 없나니 이는 내 진노가 그 모든 무리에게 미쳤음이라
15밖에는 칼이 있고 안에는 온역과 기근이 있어서 밭에 있는 자는 칼에 죽을 것이요 성읍에 있는 자는 기근과 온역에 망할 것이며
16도망하는 자는 산 위로 피하여 다 각기 자기 죄악 까닭에 골짜기 비둘기처럼 슬피 울 것이며
17모든 손은 피곤하고 모든 무릎은 물과 같이 약할 것이라
18그들이 굵은 베로 허리를 묶을 것이요 두려움이 그들을 덮을 것이요 모든 얼굴에는 수치가 있고 모든 머리는 대머리가 될 것이며
19그들이 그 은을 거리에 던지며 그 금을 오예물 같이 여기리니 이는 여호와 내가 진노를 베푸는 날에 그 은과 금이 능히 그들을 건지지 못하며 능히 그 심령을 족하게 하거나 그 창자를 채우지 못하고 오직 죄악에 빠치는 것이 됨이로다
20그들이 그 화려한 장식으로 인하여 교만을 품었고 또 그것으로 가증한 우상과 미운 물건을 지었은즉 내가 그것으로 그들에게 오예물이 되게 하여
21외인의 손에 붙여 노략하게 하며 세상 악인에게 붙여 그들로 약탈하여 더럽히게 하고
22내가 또 내 얼굴을 그들에게서 돌이키리니 그들이 내 은밀한 처소를 더럽히고 강포한 자도 거기 들어와서 더럽히리라
23너는 쇠사슬을 만들라 이는 피 흘리는 죄가 그 땅에 가득하고 강포가 그 성읍에 찼음이라
24내가 극히 악한 이방인으로 이르러 그 집들을 점령하게 하고 악한 자의 교만을 그치게 하리니 그 성소가 더럽힘을 당하리라
25패망이 이르리니 그들이 평강을 구하여도 없을 것이라
26환난에 환난이 더하고 소문에 소문이 더할 때에 그들이 선지자에게 묵시를 구하나 헛될 것이며 제사장에게는 율법이 없어질 것이요 장로에게는 모략이 없어질 것이며
27왕은 애통하고 방백은 놀람을 옷 입듯하며 거민의 손은 떨리리라 내가 그 행위대로 그들에게 갚고 그 죄악대로 그들을 국문한즉 그들이 나를 여호와인줄 알리라
Ezekiel07
1The word of the LORD came to me:
2'Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says to the land of Israel: The end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.
3The end is now upon you and I will unleash my anger against you. I will judge you according to your conduct and repay you for all your detestable practices.
4I will not look on you with pity or spare you; I will surely repay you for your conduct and the detestable practices among you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
5'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Disaster! An unheard-of disaster is coming.
6The end has come! The end has come! It has roused itself against you. It has come!
7Doom has come upon you-you who dwell in the land. The time has come, the day is near; there is panic, not joy, upon the mountains.
8I am about to pour out my wrath on you and spend my anger against you; I will judge you according to your conduct and repay you for all your detestable practices.
9I will not look on you with pity or spare you; I will repay you in accordance with your conduct and the detestable practices among you. Then you will know that it is I the LORD who strikes the blow.
10'The day is here! It has come! Doom has burst forth, the rod has budded, arrogance has blossomed!
11Violence has grown into a rod to punish wickedness; none of the people will be left, none of that crowd-no wealth, nothing of value.
12The time has come, the day has arrived. Let not the buyer rejoice nor the seller grieve, for wrath is upon the whole crowd.
13The seller will not recover the land he has sold as long as both of them live, for the vision concerning the whole crowd will not be reversed. Because of their sins, not one of them will preserve his life.
14Though they blow the trumpet and get everything ready, no one will go into battle, for my wrath is upon the whole crowd.
15'Outside is the sword, inside are plague and famine; those in the country will die by the sword, and those in the city will be devoured by famine and plague.
16All who survive and escape will be in the mountains, moaning like doves of the valleys, each because of his sins.
17Every hand will go limp, and every knee will become as weak as water.
18They will put on sackcloth and be clothed with terror. Their faces will be covered with shame and their heads will be shaved.
19They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be an unclean thing. Their silver and gold will not be able to save them in the day of the LORD's wrath. They will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it, for it has made them stumble into sin.
20They were proud of their beautiful jewelry and used it to make their detestable idols and vile images. Therefore I will turn these into an unclean thing for them.
21I will hand it all over as plunder to foreigners and as loot to the wicked of the earth, and they will defile it.
22I will turn my face away from them, and they will desecrate my treasured place; robbers will enter it and desecrate it.
23'Prepare chains, because the land is full of bloodshed and the city is full of violence.
24I will bring the most wicked of the nations to take possession of their houses; I will put an end to the pride of the mighty, and their sanctuaries will be desecrated.
25When terror comes, they will seek peace, but there will be none.
26Calamity upon calamity will come, and rumor upon rumor. They will try to get a vision from the prophet; the teaching of the law by the priest will be lost, as will the counsel of the elders.
27The king will mourn, the prince will be clothed with despair, and the hands of the people of the land will tremble. I will deal with them according to their conduct, and by their own standards I will judge them. Then they will know that I am the LORD.'

에스겔5장
1인자야 너는 날카로운 칼을 취하여 삭도를 삼아 네 머리털과 수염을 깎아서 저울에 달아 나누었다가
2그 성읍을 에워싸는 날이 차거든 너는 터럭 삼분지 일은 성읍 안에서 불사르고 삼분지 일은 가지고 성읍 사방에서 칼로 치고 또 삼분지 일은 바람에 흩으라 내가 그 뒤를 따라 칼을 빼리라
3너는 터럭 중에서 조금을 가져 네 옷자락에 싸고
4또 그 가운데서 얼마를 가져 불에 던져 사르라 그 속에서 불이 이스라엘 온 족속에게로 나오리라
5주 여호와께서 가라사대 이것이 곧 예루살렘이라 내가 그를 이방인 가운데 두어 열방으로 둘러 있게 하였거늘
6그가 내 규례를 거스려서 이방인보다 악을 더 행하며 내 율례도 그리함이 그 둘러 있는 열방보다 더하니 이는 그들이 내 규례를 버리고 내 율례를 행치 아니하였음이니라
7그러므로 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 너희 요란함이 너희를 둘러 있는 이방인 보다 더하여 내 율례를 행치 아니하며 내 규례를 지키지 아니하고 너희를 둘러 있는 이방인의 규례대로도 행치 아니하였느니라
8그러므로 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 나 곧 내가 너를 치며 이방인의 목전에서 너의 중에 벌을 내리되
9네 모든 가증한 일로 인하여 내가 전무 후무하게 네게 내릴찌라
10그리한즉 너의 중에서 아비가 아들을 먹고 아들이 그 아비를 먹으리라 내가 벌을 네게 내리고 너의 중에 남은 자를 다 사방에 흩으리라
11그러므로 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 내가 나의 삶을 두고 맹세하노니 네가 모든 미운 물건과 모든 가증한 일로 내 성소를 더럽혔은즉 나도 너를 아껴 보지 아니하며 긍휼을 베풀지 아니하고 미약하게 하리니
12너의 가운데서 삼분지 일은 온역으로 죽으며 기근으로 멸망할 것이요 삼분지 일은 너의 사방에서 칼에 엎드러질 것이며 삼분지 일은 내가 사방에 흩고 또 그 뒤를 따라 칼을 빼리라
13이와 같이 내 노가 다한즉 그들에게 향한 분이 풀려서 내 마음이 시원하리라 내 분이 그들에게 다한즉 나 여호와가 열심으로 말한줄을 그들이 알리라
14내가 또 너로 황무케 하고 너를 둘러 있는 이방인 중에서 모든 지나가는 자의 목전에 능욕거리가 되게 하리니
15내 노와 분과 중한 책망으로 네게 벌을 내린즉 너를 둘러 있는 이방인에게 네가 수욕과 조롱을 당하고 경계와 괴이한 것이 되리라 나 여호와의 말이니라
16내가 멸망케 하는 기근의 독한 살로 너희를 멸하러 보내되 기근을 더하여 너희의 의뢰하는 양식을 끊을 것이라
17내가 기근과 악한 짐승을 너희에게 보내어 외롭게 하고 너희 가운데 온역과 살륙으로 행하게 하고 또 칼이 너희에게 임하게 하리라 나 여호와의 말이니라
Ezekiel05
1"Now, son of man, take a sharp sword and use it as a barber's razor to shave your head and your beard. Then take a set of scales and divide up the hair.
2When the days of your siege come to an end, burn a third of the hair with fire inside the city. Take a third and strike it with the sword all around the city. And scatter a third to the wind. For I will pursue them with drawn sword.
3But take a few strands of hair and tuck them away in the folds of your garment.
4Again, take a few of these and throw them into the fire and burn them up. A fire will spread from there to the whole house of Israel.
5'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: This is Jerusalem, which I have set in the center of the nations, with countries all around her.
6Yet in her wickedness she has rebelled against my laws and decrees more than the nations and countries around her. She has rejected my laws and has not followed my decrees.
7'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: You have been more unruly than the nations around you and have not followed my decrees or kept my laws. You have not even conformed to the standards of the nations around you.
8'Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself am against you, Jerusalem, and I will inflict punishment on you in the sight of the nations.
9Because of all your detestable idols, I will do to you what I have never done before and will never do again.
10Therefore in your midst fathers will eat their children, and children will eat their fathers. I will inflict punishment on you and will scatter all your survivors to the winds.
11Therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your vile images and detestable practices, I myself will withdraw my favor; I will not look on you with pity or spare you.
12A third of your people will die of the plague or perish by famine inside you; a third will fall by the sword outside your walls; and a third I will scatter to the winds and pursue with drawn sword.
13'Then my anger will cease and my wrath against them will subside, and I will be avenged. And when I have spent my wrath upon them, they will know that I the LORD have spoken in my zeal.
14'I will make you a ruin and a reproach among the nations around you, in the sight of all who pass by.
15You will be a reproach and a taunt, a warning and an object of horror to the nations around you when I inflict punishment on you in anger and in wrath and with stinging rebuke. I the LORD have spoken.
16When I shoot at you with my deadly and destructive arrows of famine, I will shoot to destroy you. I will bring more and more famine upon you and cut off your supply of food.
17I will send famine and wild beasts against you, and they will leave you childless. Plague and bloodshed will sweep through you, and I will bring the sword against you. I the LORD have spoken.'

1여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 가라사대
2인자야 너는 이스라엘 산을 향하여 그들에게 예언하여
3이르기를 이스라엘 산들아 주 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 주 여호와께서 산과 작은 산과 시내와 골짜기를 대하여 말씀하시기를 나 곧 내가 칼로 너희에게 임하게 하여 너희 산당을 멸하리니
4너희 제단이 황무하고 태양상이 훼파될 것이며 내가 또 너희 중에서 살륙을 당하여 너희 우상 앞에 엎드러지게 할 것이라
5이스라엘 자손의 시체를 그 우상 앞에 두며 너희 해골을 너희 제단 사방에 흩으리라
6내가 너희 거하는 모든 성읍으로 사막이 되며 산당으로 황무하게 하리니 이는 너희 제단이 깨어지고 황폐하며 너희 우상들이 깨어져 없어지며 너희 태양상들이 찍히며 너희 만든 것이 다 폐하며
7또 너희 중에서 살륙을 당하여 엎드러지게 하여 너희로 나를 여호와인줄 알게 하려 함이니라
8그러나 너희가 열방에 흩어질 때에 내가 너희 중에서 칼을 피하여 이방 중에 남아 있는 자가 있게 할찌라
9너희 중 피한 자가 사로잡혀 이방인 중에 있어서 나를 기억하되 그들이 음란한 마음으로 나를 떠나고 음란한 눈으로 우상을 섬겨 나로 근심케 한 것을 기억하고 스스로 한탄하리니 이는 그 모든 가증한 일로 악을 행하였음이라
10그 때에야 그들이 나를 여호와인줄 알리라 내가 이런 재앙을 그들에게 내리겠다 한 말이 헛되지 아니하니라
11주 여호와께서 가라사대 너는 손뼉을 치고 발을 구르며 말할찌어다 오호라 이스라엘 족속이 모든 가증한 악을 행하므로 필경 칼과 기근과 온역에 망하되
12먼데 있는 자는 온역에 죽고 가까운데 있는 자는 칼에 엎드러지고 남아 있어 에워싸인 자는 기근에 죽으리라 이같이 내 진노를 그들에게 이룬즉
13그 살륙 당한 시체가 그 우상 사이에, 제단 사방에, 각 높은 고개에, 모든 산꼭대기에, 모든 푸른나무 아래에, 무성한 상수리나무 아래 곧 그 우상에게 분향하던 곳에 있으리니 너희가 나를 여호와인줄 알리라
14내가 내 손을 그들의 위에 펴서 그 거하는 온 땅 곧 광야에서부터 디블라까지 처량하고 황무하게 하리니 그들이 나를 여호와인줄 알리라
Ezekiel06
1The word of the LORD came to me:
2'Son of man, set your face against the mountains of Israel; prophesy against them
3and say: 'O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Sovereign LORD. This is what the Sovereign LORD says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys: I am about to bring a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places.
4Your altars will be demolished and your incense altars will be smashed; and I will slay your people in front of your idols.
5I will lay the dead bodies of the Israelites in front of their idols, and I will scatter your bones around your altars.
6Wherever you live, the towns will be laid waste and the high places demolished, so that your altars will be laid waste and devastated, your idols smashed and ruined, your incense altars broken down, and what you have made wiped out.
7Your people will fall slain among you, and you will know that I am the LORD.
8" 'But I will spare some, for some of you will escape the sword when you are scattered among the lands and nations.
9Then in the nations where they have been carried captive, those who escape will remember me-how I have been grieved by their adulterous hearts, which have turned away from me, and by their eyes, which have lusted after their idols. They will loathe themselves for the evil they have done and for all their detestable practices.
10And they will know that I am the LORD; I did not threaten in vain to bring this calamity on them.
11" 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Strike your hands together and stamp your feet and cry out "Alas!" because of all the wicked and detestable practices of the house of Israel, for they will fall by the sword, famine and plague.
12He that is far away will die of the plague, and he that is near will fall by the sword, and he that survives and is spared will die of famine. So will I spend my wrath upon them.
13And they will know that I am the LORD, when their people lie slain among their idols around their altars, on every high hill and on all the mountaintops, under every spreading tree and every leafy oak-places where they offered fragrant incense to all their idols.
14And I will stretch out my hand against them and make the land a desolate waste from the desert to Diblah-wherever they live. Then they will know that I am the LORD.'

아모스7장
1주 여호와께서 내게 보이신 것이 이러하니라 왕이 풀을 벤 후 풀이 다시 움돋기 시작할 때에 주께서 황충을 지으시매
2황충이 땅의 풀을 다 먹은지라 내가 가로되 주 여호와여 청컨대 사하소서 야곱이 미약하오니 어떻게 서리이까 하매
3여호와께서 이에 대하여 뜻을 돌이켜 가라사대 이것이 이루지 아니하리라 하시니라
4주 여호와께서 또 내게 보이신 것이 이러하니라 주 여호와께서 명하여 불로 징벌하게 하시니 불이 큰 바다를 삼키고 육지까지 먹으려 하는지라
5이에 내가 가로되 주 여호와여 청컨대 그치소서 야곱이 미약하오니 어떻게 서리이까 하매
6주 여호와께서 이에 대하여 뜻을 돌이켜 가라사대 이것도 이루지 아니하리라 하시니라

8내게 이르시되 아모스야 네가 무엇을 보느냐 내가 대답하되 다림줄이니이다 주께서 가라사대 내가 다림줄을 내 백성 이스라엘 가운데 베풀고 다시는 용서치 아니하리니
9이삭의 산당들이 황폐되며 이스라엘의 성소들이 훼파될 것이라 내가 일어나 칼로 여로보암의 집을 치리라 하시니라
10때에 벧엘의 제사장 아마샤가 이스라엘 왕 여로보암에게 기별하여 가로되 이스라엘 족속 중에 아모스가 왕을 모반하나니 그 모든 말을 이 땅이 견딜 수 없나이다
11아모스가 말하기를 여로보암은 칼에 죽겠고 이스라엘은 정녕 사로잡혀 그 땅에서 떠나겠다 하나이다 하고
12아마샤가 또 아모스에게 이르되 선견자야 너는 유다 땅으로 도망하여 가서 거기서나 떡을 먹으며 거기서나 예언하고
13다시는 벧엘에서 예언하지 말라 이는 왕의 성소요 왕의 궁임이니라
14아모스가 아마샤에게 대답하여 가로되 나는 선지자가 아니며 선지자의 아들도 아니요 나는 목자요 뽕나무를 배양하는 자로서
15양떼를 따를 때에 여호와께서 나를 데려다가 내게 이르시기를 가서 내 백성 이스라엘에게 예언하라 하셨나니
16이제 너는 여호와의 말씀을 들을찌니라 네가 이르기를 이스라엘에 대하여 예언하지 말며 이삭의 집을 향하여 경계하지 말라 하므로
17여호와께서 말씀하시기를 네 아내는 성읍 중에서 창기가 될 것이요 네 자녀들은 칼에 엎드러지며 네 땅은 줄띄워 나누일 것이며 너는 더러운 땅에서 죽을 것이요 이스라엘은 정녕 사로잡혀 그 본토에서 떠나리라 하셨느니라
Amos07
1This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts after the king's share had been harvested and just as the second crop was coming up.
2When they had stripped the land clean, I cried out, 'Sovereign LORD, forgive! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!'
3So the LORD relented. 'This will not happen,' the LORD said.
4This is what the Sovereign LORD showed me: The Sovereign LORD was calling for judgment by fire; it dried up the great deep and devoured the land.
5Then I cried out, 'Sovereign LORD, I beg you, stop! How can Jacob survive? He is so small!'
6So the LORD relented. 'This will not happen either,' the Sovereign LORD said.
7This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand.
8And the LORD asked me, 'What do you see, Amos?' 'A plumb line,' I replied. Then the Lord said, 'Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
9'The high places of Isaac will be destroyed and the sanctuaries of Israel will be ruined; with my sword I will rise against the house of Jeroboam.'
10Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent a message to Jeroboam king of Israel: 'Amos is raising a conspiracy against you in the very heart of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words.
11For this is what Amos is saying: " 'Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their native land.' "
12Then Amaziah said to Amos, 'Get out, you seer! Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.
13Don't prophesy anymore at Bethel, because this is the king's sanctuary and the temple of the kingdom."
14Amos answered Amaziah, "I was neither a prophet nor a prophet's son, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees.
15But the LORD took me from tending the flock and said to me, 'Go, prophesy to my people Israel.'
16Now then, hear the word of the LORD. You say, " 'Do not prophesy against Israel, and stop preaching against the house of Isaac.'
17"Therefore this is what the LORD says: " 'Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be measured and divided up, and you yourself will die in a pagan country. And Israel will certainly go into exile, away from their native land.' "

아모스6장
1화 있을찐저 시온에서 안일한 자와 사마리아 산에서 마음이 든든한 자 곧 열국 중 우승하여 유명하므로 이스라엘 족속이 따르는 자들이여
2너희는 갈레에 건너가고 거기서 대 하맛으로 가고 또 블레셋 사람의 가드로 내려가 보라 그곳들이 이 나라들보다 나으냐 그 토지가 너희 토지보다 넓으냐
3너희는 흉한 날이 멀다 하여 강포한 자리로 가까와지게 하고
4상아 상에 누우며 침상에서 기지개 켜며 양떼에서 어린 양과 우리에서 송아지를 취하여 먹고
5비파에 맞추어 헛된 노래를 지절거리며 다윗처럼 자기를 위하여 악기를 제조하며
6대접으로 포도주를 마시며 귀한 기름을 몸에 바르면서 요셉의 환난을 인하여는 근심치 아니하는 자로다
7그러므로 저희가 이제는 사로잡히는 자 중에 앞서 사로잡히리니 기지개 켜는 자의 떠드는 소리가 그치리라
8만군의 하나님 여호와께서 가라사대 주 여호와가 자기를 가리켜 맹세하였노라 내가 야곱의 영광을 싫어하며 그 궁궐들을 미워하므로 이 성읍과 거기 가득한 것을 대적에게 붙이리라 하셨느니라
9한 집에 열 사람이 남는다 하여도 다 죽을 것이라
10죽은 사람의 친척 곧 그 시체를 불사를 자가 그 뼈를 집 밖으로 가져갈 때에 그 집 내실에 있는 자에게 묻기를 아직 너와 함께한 자가 있느냐 하여 대답하기를 아주 없다 하면 저가 또 말하기를 잠잠하라 우리가 여호와의 이름을 일컫지 못할 것이라 하리라
11보라 여호와께서 명하시므로 큰 집이 침을 받아 갈라지며 작은 집이 침을 받아 터지리라
12말들이 어찌 바위 위에서 달리겠으며 소가 어찌 거기 밭 갈겠느냐 그런데 너희는 공법을 쓸개로 변하며 정의의 열매를 인진으로 변하며
13허무한 것을 기뻐하며 이르기를 우리의 뿔은 우리 힘으로 취하지 아니하였느냐 하는 자로다
14만군의 하나님 여호와께서 가라사대 이스라엘 족속아 내가 한 나라를 일으켜 너희를 치리니 저희가 하맛 어귀에서부터 아라바 시내까지 너희를 학대하리라 하셨느니라
Amos06
1Woe to you who are complacent in Zion, and to you who feel secure on Mount Samaria, you notable men of the foremost nation, to whom the people of Israel come!
2Go to Calneh and look at it; go from there to great Hamath, and then go down to Gath in Philistia. Are they better off than your two kingdoms? Is their land larger than yours?
3You put off the evil day and bring near a reign of terror.
4You lie on beds inlaid with ivory and lounge on your couches. You dine on choice lambs and fattened calves.
5You strum away on your harps like David and improvise on musical instruments.
6You drink wine by the bowlful and use the finest lotions, but you do not grieve over the ruin of Joseph.
7Therefore you will be among the first to go into exile; your feasting and lounging will end.
8The Sovereign LORD has sworn by himself-the LORD God Almighty declares: 'I abhor the pride of Jacob and detest his fortresses; I will deliver up the city and everything in it.'
9If ten men are left in one house, they too will die.
10And if a relative who is to burn the bodies comes to carry them out of the house and asks anyone still hiding there, 'Is anyone with you?' and he says, 'No,' then he will say, 'Hush! We must not mention the name of the LORD.'
11For the LORD has given the command, and he will smash the great house into pieces and the small house into bits.
12Do horses run on the rocky crags? Does one plow there with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison and the fruit of righteousness into bitterness-
13you who rejoice in the conquest of Lo Debar and say, 'Did we not take Karnaim by our own strength?'
14For the LORD God Almighty declares, 'I will stir up a nation against you, O house of Israel, that will oppress you all the way from Lebo Hamath to the valley of the Arabah.'

에스겔4장
1너 인자야 박석을 가져다가 네 앞에 놓고 한 성읍 곧 예루살렘을 그 위에 그리고
2그 성읍을 에워싸되 운제를 세우고 토둔을 쌓고 진을 치고 공성퇴를 둘러 세우고
3또 전철을 가져다가 너와 성읍 사이에 두어 철성을 삼고 성을 향하여 에워싸는 것처럼 에워싸라 이것이 이스라엘 족속에게 징조가 되리라
4너는 또 좌편으로 누워 이스라엘 족속의 죄악을 당하되 네 눕는 날수대로 그 죄악을 담당할찌니라
5내가 그들의 범죄한 햇수대로 네게 날수를 정하였나니 곧 삼백 구십일이니라 너는 이렇게 이스라엘 족속의 죄악을 담당하고
6그 수가 차거든 너는 우편으로 누워 유다 족속의 죄악을 담당하라 내가 네게 사십일로 정하였나니 일일이 일년이니라
7너는 또 에워싼 예루살렘을 향하여 팔을 벗어메고 예언하라
8내가 줄로 너를 동이리니 네가 에워싸는 날이 맟도록 몸을 이리 저리 돌리지 못하리라
9너는 밀과 보리와 콩과 팥과 조와 귀리를 가져다가 한 그릇에 담고 떡을 만들어 네 모로 눕는 날수 곧 삼백 구십일에 먹되
10너는 식물을 달아서 하루 이십 세겔 중씩 때를 따라 먹고
11물도 힌 육분 일씩 되어서 때를 따라 마시라
12너는 그것을 보리 떡처럼 만들어 먹되 그들의 목전에서 인분 불을 피워 구울찌니라
13여호와께서 또 가라사대 내가 열국으로 쫓아 흩을 이스라엘 자손이 거기서 이와 같이 부정한 떡을 먹으리라 하시기로
14내가 가로되 오호라 주 여호와여 나는 영혼을 더럽힌 일이 없었나이다 어려서부터 지금까지 스스로 죽은 것이나 짐승에게 찢긴 것을 먹지 아니하였고 가증한 고기를 입에 넣지 아니하였나이다
15여호와께서 내게 이르시되 쇠똥으로 인분을 대신하기를 허하노니 너는 그것으로 떡을 구울찌니라
16또 내게 이르시되 인자야 내가 예루살렘에서 의뢰하는 양식을 끊으리니 백성이 경겁 중에 떡을 달아 먹고 민답 중에 물을 되어 마시다가
17떡과 물이 결핍하여 피차에 민답하여 하며 그 죄악 중에서 쇠패하리라
Ezekiel04
1'Now, son of man, take a clay tablet, put it in front of you and draw the city of Jerusalem on it.
2Then lay siege to it: Erect siege works against it, build a ramp up to it, set up camps against it and put battering rams around it.
3Then take an iron pan, place it as an iron wall between you and the city and turn your face toward it. It will be under siege, and you shall besiege it. This will be a sign to the house of Israel.
4'Then lie on your left side and put the sin of the house of Israel upon yourself. You are to bear their sin for the number of days you lie on your side.
5I have assigned you the same number of days as the years of their sin. So for 390 days you will bear the sin of the house of Israel.
6'After you have finished this, lie down again, this time on your right side, and bear the sin of the house of Judah. I have assigned you 40 days, a day for each year.
7Turn your face toward the siege of Jerusalem and with bared arm prophesy against her.
8I will tie you up with ropes so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have finished the days of your siege.
9'Take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and spelt; put them in a storage jar and use them to make bread for yourself. You are to eat it during the 390 days you lie on your side.
10Weigh out twenty shekels of food to eat each day and eat it at set times.
11Also measure out a sixth of a hin of water and drink it at set times.
12Eat the food as you would a barley cake; bake it in the sight of the people, using human excrement for fuel.'
13The LORD said, "In this way the people of Israel will eat defiled food among the nations where I will drive them.'
14Then I said, 'Not so, Sovereign LORD! I have never defiled myself. From my youth until now I have never eaten anything found dead or torn by wild animals. No unclean meat has ever entered my mouth.'
15'Very well,' he said, 'I will let you bake your bread over cow manure instead of human excrement.'
16He then said to me: 'Son of man, I will cut off the supply of food in Jerusalem. The people will eat rationed food in anxiety and drink rationed water in despair,
17for food and water will be scarce. They will be appalled at the sight of each other and will waste away because of their sin.

에스겔3장
1그가 또 내게 이르시되 인자야 너는 받는 것을 먹으라 너는 이 두루마리를 먹고 가서 이스라엘 족속에게 고하라 하시기로
2내가 입을 벌리니 그가 그 두루마리를 내게 먹이시며
3내게 이르시되 인자야 내가 네게 주는 이 두루마리로 네 배에 넣으며 네 창자에 채우라 하시기에 내가 먹으니 그것이 내 입에서 달기가 꿀 같더라
4그가 또 내게 이르시되 인자야 이스라엘 족속에게 가서 내 말로 그들에게 고하라
5너를 방언이 다르거나 말이 어려운 백성에게 보내는 것이 아니요 이스라엘 족속에게 보내는 것이라
6너를 방언이 다르거나 말이 어려워 네가 알아듣지 못할 열국에 보내는 것이 아니니라 내가 너를 그들에게 보내었더면 그들은 정녕 네 말을 들었으리라
7그러나 이스라엘 족속은 이마가 굳고 마음이 강퍅하여 네 말을 듣고자 아니하리니 이는 내 말을 듣고자 아니함이니라
8내가 그들의 얼굴을 대하도록 네 얼굴을 굳게 하였고 그들의 이마를 대하도록 네 이마를 굳게 하였으되
9네 이마로 화석보다 굳은 금강석 같이 하였으니 그들이 비록 패역한 족속이라도 두려워 말며 그 얼굴을 무서워 말라 하시고
10또 내게 이르시되 인자야 내가 네게 이를 모든 말을 너는 마음으로 받으며 귀로 듣고
11사로잡힌 네 민족에게로 가서 그들이 듣든지 아니 듣든지 그들에게 고하여 이르기를 주 여호와의 말씀이 이러하시다 하라 하시더라
12때에 주의 신이 나를 들어 올리시는데 내 뒤에 크게 울리는 소리가 들려 이르기를 여호와의 처소에서 나는 영광을 찬송할찌어다 하니
13이는 생물들의 날개가 서로 부딪히는 소리와 생물 곁에 바퀴 소리라 크게 울리는 소리더라
14주의 신이 나를 들어올려 데리고 가시는데 내가 근심하고 분한 마음으로 행하니 여호와의 권능이 힘있게 나를 감동하시더라
15이에 내가 델아빕에 이르러 그 사로잡힌 백성 곧 그발강 가에 거하는 자들에게 나아가 그 중에서 민답히 칠일을 지내니라
16칠일 후에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 가라사대
17인자야 내가 너를 이스라엘 족속의 파숫군으로 세웠으니 너는 내 입의 말을 듣고 나를 대신하여 그들을 깨우치라
18가령 내가 악인에게 말하기를 너는 꼭 죽으리라 할 때에 네가 깨우치지 아니하거나 말로 악인에게 일러서 그 악한 길을 떠나 생명을 구원케 하지 아니하면 그 악인은 그 죄악 중에서 죽으려니와 내가 그 피 값을 네 손에서 찾을 것이고
19네가 악인을 깨우치되 그가 그 악한 마음과 악한 행위에서 돌이키지 아니하면 그는 그 죄악 중에서 죽으려니와 너는 네 생명을 보존하리라
20또 의인이 그 의에서 돌이켜 악을 행할 때에는 이미 행한 그 의는 기억할바 아니라 내가 그 앞에 거치는 것을 두면 그가 죽을찌니 이는 네가 그를 깨우치지 않음이라 그가 그 죄 중에서 죽으려니와 그 피 값은 내가 네 손에서 찾으리라
21그러나 네가 그 의인을 깨우쳐 범죄치 않게 하므로 그가 범죄치 아니하면 정녕 살리니 이는 깨우침을 받음이며 너도 네 영혼을 보존하리라
22여호와께서 권능으로 거기서 내게 임하시고 또 내게 이르시되 일어나 들로 나아가라 내가 거기서 너와 말하리라 하시기로
23내가 일어나 들로 나아가니 여호와의 영광이 거기 머물렀는데 내가 전에 그발강 가에서 보던 영광과 같은지라 내가 곧 엎드리니
24주의 신이 내게 임하사 나를 일으켜 세우시고 내게 말씀하여 가라사대 너는 가서 네 집에 들어가 문을 닫으라
25인자야 무리가 줄로 너를 동여매리니 네가 그들 가운데서 나오지 못할 것이라
26내가 네 혀로 네 입천장에 붙게 하여 너로 벙어리 되어 그들의 책망자가 되지 못하게 하리니 그들은 패역한 족속임이니라
27그러나 내가 너와 말할 때에 네 입을 열리니 너는 그들에게 이르기를 주 여호와의 말씀이 이러하시다 하라 들을 자는 들을 것이요 듣기 싫은 자는 듣지 아니하리니 그들은 패역한 족속임이니라
Ezekiel03
1And he said to me, 'Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the house of Israel.'
2So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat.
3Then he said to me, 'Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it.' So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.
4He then said to me: 'Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak my words to them.
5You are not being sent to a people of obscure speech and difficult language, but to the house of Israel-
6not to many peoples of obscure speech and difficult language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you.
7But the house of Israel is not willing to listen to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for the whole house of Israel is hardened and obstinate.
8But I will make you as unyielding and hardened as they are.
9I will make your forehead like the hardest stone, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious house.'
10And he said to me, 'Son of man, listen carefully and take to heart all the words I speak to you.
11Go now to your countrymen in exile and speak to them. Say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says,' whether they listen or fail to listen."
12Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a loud rumbling sound-May the glory of the LORD be praised in his dwelling place!-
13the sound of the wings of the living creatures brushing against each other and the sound of the wheels beside them, a loud rumbling sound.
14The Spirit then lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness and in the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the LORD upon me.
15I came to the exiles who lived at Tel Abib near the Kebar River. And there, where they were living, I sat among them for seven days-overwhelmed.
16At the end of seven days the word of the LORD came to me:
17'Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.
18When I say to a wicked man, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood.
19But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.
20'Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered, and I will hold you accountable for his blood.
21But if you do warn the righteous man not to sin and he does not sin, he will surely live because he took warning, and you will have saved yourself.'
22The hand of the LORD was upon me there, and he said to me, 'Get up and go out to the plain, and there I will speak to you.'
23So I got up and went out to the plain. And the glory of the LORD was standing there, like the glory I had seen by the Kebar River, and I fell facedown.
24Then the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet. He spoke to me and said: 'Go, shut yourself inside your house.
25And you, son of man, they will tie with ropes; you will be bound so that you cannot go out among the people.
26I will make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth so that you will be silent and unable to rebuke them, though they are a rebellious house.
27But when I speak to you, I will open your mouth and you shall say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says.' Whoever will listen let him listen, and whoever will refuse let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.

아모스5장
1이스라엘 족속아 내가 너희에게 대하여 애가로 지은 이 말을 들으라
2처녀 이스라엘이 엎드러졌음이여 다시 일어나지 못하리로다 자기 땅에 던지움이여 일으킬 자 없으리로다
3주 여호와께서 가라사대 이스라엘 중에서 천명이 나가던 성읍에는 백명만 남고 백명이 나가던 성읍에는 열명만 남으리라 하셨느니라
4여호와께서 이스라엘 족속에게 이르시기를 너희는 나를 찾으라 그리하면 살리라
5벧엘을 찾지 말며 길갈로 들어가지 말며 브엘세바로도 나아가지 말라 길갈은 정녕 사로잡히겠고 벧엘은 허무하게 될 것임이라 하셨나니
6너희는 여호와를 찾으라 그리하면 살리라 염려컨대 저가 불 같이 요셉의 집에 내리사 멸하시리니 벧엘에서 그 불들을 끌 자가 없을까 하노라
7공법을 인진으로 변하며 정의를 땅에 던지는 자들아
8묘성과 삼성을 만드시며 사망의 그늘로 아침이 되게 하시며 백주로 어두운 밤이 되게 하시며 바닷물을 불러 지면에 쏟으시는 자를 찾으라 그 이름이 여호와시니라
9저가 강한 자에게 홀연히 패망이 임하게 하신즉 그 패망이 산성에 미치느니라
10무리가 성문에서 책망하는 자를 미워하며 정직히 말하는 자를 싫어하는도다
11너희가 가난한 자를 밟고 저에게서 밀의 부당한 세를 취하였은즉 너희가 비록 다듬은 돌로 집을 건축하였으나 거기 거하지 못할 것이요 아름다운 포도원을 심었으나 그 포도주를 마시지 못하리라
12너희의 허물이 많고 죄악이 중함을 내가 아노라 너희는 의인을 학대하며 뇌물을 받고 성문에서 궁핍한 자를 억울하게 하는 자로다
13그러므로 이런 때에 지혜자가 잠잠하나니 이는 악한 때임이니라
14너희는 살기 위하여 선을 구하고 악을 구하지 말찌어다 만군의 하나님 여호와께서 너희의 말과 같이 너희와 함께하시리라
15너희는 악을 미워하고 선을 사랑하며 성문에서 공의를 세울찌어다 만군의 하나님 여호와께서 혹시 요셉의 남은 자를 긍휼히 여기시리라
16그러므로 주 만군의 하나님 여호와께서 말씀하시기를 사람이 모든 광장에서 울겠고 모든 거리에서 오호라 오호라 하겠으며 농부를 불러다가 애곡하게 하며 울음군을 불러다가 울게 할 것이며
17모든 포도원에서도 울리니 이는 내가 너희 가운데로 지나갈 것임이니라 이는 여호와의 말씀이니라
18화 있을찐저 여호와의 날을 사모하는 자여 너희가 어찌하여 여호와의 날을 사모하느뇨 그 날은 어두움이요 빛이 아니라
19마치 사람이 사자를 피하다가 곰을 만나거나 혹 집에 들어가서 손을 벽에 대었다가 뱀에게 물림 같도다
20여호와의 날이 어찌 어두워서 빛이 없음이 아니며 캄캄하여 빛남이 없음이 아니냐
21내가 너희 절기를 미워하여 멸시하며 너희 성회들을 기뻐하지 아니하나니
22너희가 내게 번제나 소제를 드릴찌라도 내가 받지 아니할 것이요 너희 살진 희생의 화목제도 내가 돌아보지 아니하리라
23네 노래 소리를 내 앞에서 그칠찌어다 네 비파 소리도 내가 듣지 아니하리라
24오직 공법을 물 같이, 정의를 하수 같이 흘릴찌로다
25이스라엘 족속아 너희가 사십년 동안 광야에서 희생과 소제물을 내게 드렸느냐
26너희가 너희 왕 식굿과 너희 우상 기윤 곧 너희가 너희를 위하여 만들어서 신으로 삼은 별 형상을 지고 가리라
27내가 너희를 다메섹 밖으로 사로잡혀 가게 하리라 이는 만군의 하나님이라 일컫는 여호와의 말씀이니라
Amos05
1Hear this word, O house of Israel, this lament I take up concerning you:
2'Fallen is Virgin Israel, never to rise again, deserted in her own land, with no one to lift her up.'
3This is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'The city that marches out a thousand strong for Israel will have only a hundred left; the town that marches out a hundred strong will have only ten left.'
4This is what the LORD says to the house of Israel: 'Seek me and live;
5do not seek Bethel, do not go to Gilgal, do not journey to Beersheba. For Gilgal will surely go into exile, and Bethel will be reduced to nothing.'
6Seek the LORD and live, or he will sweep through the house of Joseph like a fire; it will devour, and Bethel will have no one to quench it.
7You who turn justice into bitterness and cast righteousness to the ground
8(he who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns blackness into dawn and darkens day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land-the LORD is his name-
9he flashes destruction on the stronghold and brings the fortified city to ruin),
10you hate the one who reproves in court and despise him who tells the truth.
11You trample on the poor and force him to give you grain. Therefore, though you have built stone mansions, you will not live in them; though you have planted lush vineyards, you will not drink their wine.
12For I know how many are your offenses and how great your sins. You oppress the righteous and take bribes and you deprive the poor of justice in the courts.
13Therefore the prudent man keeps quiet in such times, for the times are evil.
14Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is.
15Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the LORD God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph.
16Therefore this is what the Lord, the LORD God Almighty, says: 'There will be wailing in all the streets and cries of anguish in every public square. The farmers will be summoned to weep and the mourners to wail.
17There will be wailing in all the vineyards, for I will pass through your midst,' says the LORD.
18Woe to you who long for the day of the LORD! Why do you long for the day of the LORD? That day will be darkness, not light.
19It will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him.
20Will not the day of the LORD be darkness, not light-pitch-dark, without a ray of brightness?
21'I hate, I despise your religious feasts; I cannot stand your assemblies.
22Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will have no regard for them.
23Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.
24But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!
25'Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the desert, O house of Israel?
26You have lifted up the shrine of your king, the pedestal of your idols, the star of your god-which you made for yourselves.
27Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,' says the LORD, whose name is God Almighty.

에스겔1장
1제 삼십년 사월 오일에 내가 그발강 가 사로잡힌 자 중에 있더니 하늘이 열리며 하나님의 이상을 내게 보이시니
2여호야긴왕의 사로잡힌지 오년 그 달 오일이라
3갈대아 땅 그발강 가에서 여호와의 말씀이 부시의 아들 제사장 나 에스겔에게 특별히 임하고 여호와의 권능이 내 위에 있으니라
4내가 보니 북방에서부터 폭풍과 큰 구름이 오는데 그 속에서 불이 번쩍번쩍하여 빛이 그 사면에 비취며 그 불 가운데 단쇠 같은 것이 나타나 보이고
5그 속에서 네 생물의 형상이 나타나는데 그 모양이 이러하니 사람의 형상이라
6각각 네 얼굴과 네 날개가 있고
7그 다리는 곧고 그 발바닥은 송아지 발바닥 같고 마광한 구리 같이 빛나며
8그 사면 날개 밑에는 각각 사람의 손이 있더라 그 네 생물의 얼굴과 날개가 이러하니
9날개는 다 서로 연하였으며 행할 때에는 돌이키지 아니하고 일제히 앞으로 곧게 행하며
10그 얼굴들의 모양은 넷의 앞은 사람의 얼굴이요 넷의 우편은 사자의 얼굴이요 넷의 좌편은 소의 얼굴이요 넷의 뒤는 독수리의 얼굴이니
11그 얼굴은 이러하며 그 날개는 들어 펴서 각기 둘씩 서로 연하였고 또 둘은 몸을 가리웠으며
12신이 어느 편으로 가려면 그 생물들이 그대로 가되 돌이키지 아니하고 일제히 앞으로 곧게 행하며
13또 생물의 모양은 숯불과 횃불 모양 같은데 그 불이 그 생물 사이에서 오르락 내리락 하며 그 불은 광채가 있고 그 가운데서는 번개가 나며
14그 생물의 왕래가 번개 같이 빠르더라
15내가 그 생물을 본즉 그 생물 곁 땅 위에 바퀴가 있는데 그 네 얼굴을 따라 하나씩 있고
16그 바퀴의 형상과 그 구조는 넷이 한결 같은데 황옥 같고 그 형상과 구조는 바퀴 안에 바퀴가 있는 것 같으며
17행할 때에는 사방으로 향한대로 돌이키지 않고 행하며
18그 둘레는 높고 무서우며 그 네 둘레로 돌아가면서 눈이 가득하며
19생물이 행할 때에 바퀴도 그 곁에서 행하고 생물이 땅에서 들릴 때에 바퀴도 들려서
20어디든지 신이 가려하면 생물도 신의 가려하는 곳으로 가고 바퀴도 그 곁에서 들리니 이는 생물의 신이 그 바퀴 가운데 있음이라
21저들이 행하면 이들도 행하고 저들이 그치면 이들도 그치고 저들이 땅에서 들릴 때에는 이들도 그 곁에서 들리니 이는 생물의 신이 그 바퀴 가운데 있음이더라
22그 생물의 머리 위에는 수정 같은 궁창의 형상이 펴 있어 보기에 심히 두려우며
23그 궁창 밑에 생물들의 날개가 서로 향하여 펴 있는데 이 생물은 두 날개로 몸을 가리웠고 저 생물도 두 날개로 몸을 가리웠으며
24생물들이 행할 때에 내가 그 날개 소리를 들은즉 많은 물 소리와도 같으며 전능자의 음성과도 같으며 떠드는 소리 곧 군대의 소리와도 같더니 그 생물이 설 때에 그 날개를 드리우더라
25그 머리 위에 있는 궁창 위에서부터 음성이 나더라 그 생물이 설 때에 그 날개를 드리우더라
26그 머리 위에 있는 궁창 위에 보좌의 형상이 있는데 그 모양이 남보석 같고 그 보좌의 형상 위에 한 형상이 있어 사람의 모양 같더라
27내가 본즉 그 허리 이상의 모양은 단 쇠 같아서 그 속과 주위가 불 같고 그 허리 이하의 모양도 불 같아서 사면으로 광채가 나며
28그 사면 광채의 모양은 비 오는날 구름에 있는 무지개 같으니 이는 여호와의 영광의 형상의 모양이라 내가 보고 곧 엎드리어 그 말씀하시는 자의 음성을 들으니라
Ezekiel01
1In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month on the fifth day, while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.
2On the fifth of the month-it was the fifth year of the exile of King Jehoiachin-
3the word of the LORD came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, by the Kebar River in the land of the Babylonians. There the hand of the LORD was upon him.
4I looked, and I saw a windstorm coming out of the north-an immense cloud with flashing lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal,
5and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was that of a man,
6but each of them had four faces and four wings.
7Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze.
8Under their wings on their four sides they had the hands of a man. All four of them had faces and wings,
9and their wings touched one another. Each one went straight ahead; they did not turn as they moved.
10Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a man, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle.
11Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out upward; each had two wings, one touching the wing of another creature on either side, and two wings covering its body.
12Each one went straight ahead. Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, without turning as they went.
13The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it.
14The creatures sped back and forth like flashes of lightning.
15As I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces.
16This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: They sparkled like chrysolite, and all four looked alike. Each appeared to be made like a wheel intersecting a wheel.
17As they moved, they would go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not turn about as the creatures went.
18Their rims were high and awesome, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.
19When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.
20Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
21When the creatures moved, they also moved; when the creatures stood still, they also stood still; and when the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
22Spread out above the heads of the living creatures was what looked like an expanse, sparkling like ice, and awesome.
23Under the expanse their wings were stretched out one toward the other, and each had two wings covering its body.
24When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.
25Then there came a voice from above the expanse over their heads as they stood with lowered wings.
26Above the expanse over their heads was what looked like a throne of sapphire, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man.
27I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him.
28Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.
에스겔2장
1그가 내게 이르시되 인자야 일어서라 내가 네게 말하리라 하시며
2말씀하실 때에 그 신이 내게 임하사 나를 일으켜 세우시기로 내가 그 말씀하시는 자의 소리를 들으니
3내게 이르시되 인자야 내가 너를 이스라엘 자손 곧 패역한 백성, 나를 배반하는 자에게 보내노라 그들과 그 열조가 내게 범죄하여 오늘날까지 이르렀나니
4이 자손은 얼굴이 뻔뻔하고 마음이 강퍅한 자니라 내가 너를 그들에게 보내노니 너는 그들에게 이르기를 주 여호와의 말씀이 이러하시다 하라
5그들은 패역한 족속이라 듣든지 아니 듣든지 그들 가운데 선지자 있은 줄은 알찌니라
6인자야 너는 비록 가시와 찔레와 함께 처하며 전갈 가운데 거할찌라도 그들을 두려워 말고 그 말을 두려워 말찌어다 그들은 패역한 족속이라도 그 말을 두려워 말며 그 얼굴을 무서워 말찌어다
7그들은 심히 패역한 자라 듣든지 아니 듣든지 너는 내 말로 고할찌어다
8인자야 내가 네게 이르는 말을 듣고 그 패역한 족속 같이 패역하지 말고 네 입을 벌리고 내가 네게 주는 것을 먹으라 하시기로
9내가 보니 한 손이 나를 향하여 펴지고 그 손에 두루마리 책이 있더라
10그가 그것을 내 앞에 펴시니 그 안팎에 글이 있는데 애가와 애곡과 재앙의 말이 기록되었더라
Ezekiel02
1He said to me, 'Son of man, stand up on your feet and I will speak to you.'
2As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.
3He said: 'Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their fathers have been in revolt against me to this very day.
4The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says.'
5And whether they listen or fail to listen-for they are a rebellious house-they will know that a prophet has been among them.
6And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious house.
7You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious.
8But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you.'
9Then I looked, and I saw a hand stretched out to me. In it was a scroll,
10which he unrolled before me. On both sides of it were written words of lament and mourning and woe.

예레미야애가4장
1슬프다 어찌 그리 금이 빛을 잃고 정금이 변하였으며 성소의 돌이 각 거리 머리에 쏟아졌는고
2시온의 아들들이 보배로와 정금에 비할러니 어찌 그리 토기장이의 만든 질항아리 같이 여김이 되었는고
3들개는 오히려 젖을 내어 새끼를 먹이나 처녀 내 백성은 잔인하여 광야의 타조 같도다
4젖먹이가 목말라서 혀가 입천장에 붙음이여 어린 아이가 떡을 구하나 떼어 줄 사람이 없도다
5진수를 먹던 자가 거리에 외로움이여 전에는 붉은 옷을 입고 길리운 자가 이제는 거름더미를 안았도다
6전에 소돔이 사람의 손을 대지 않고 경각간에 무너지더니 이제 처녀 내 백성의 죄가 소돔의 죄악보다 중하도다
7전에는 존귀한 자의 몸이 눈보다 깨끗하고 젖보다 희며 산호보다 붉어 그 윤택함이 마광한 청옥 같더니
8이제는 그 얼굴이 숯보다 검고 그 가죽이 뼈에 붙어 막대기 같이 말랐으니 거리에서 알 사람이 없도다
9칼에 죽은 자가 주려 죽은 자보다 나음은 토지 소산이 끊어지므로 이들이 찔림 같이 점점 쇠약하여 감이로다
10처녀 내 백성의 멸망할 때에 자비한 부녀가 손으로 자기 자녀를 삶아 식물을 삼았도다
11여호와께서 분을 발하시며 맹렬한 노를 쏟으심이여 시온에 불을 피우사 그 지대를 사르셨도다
12대적과 원수가 예루살렘 성문으로 들어갈 줄은 세상 열왕과 천하 모든 백성이 믿지 못하였었도다
13그 선지자들의 죄와 제사장들의 죄악을 인함이니 저희가 성읍 중에서 의인의 피를 흘렸도다
14저희가 거리에서 소경 같이 방황함이여 그 옷이 피에 더러웠으므로 사람이 만질 수 없도다
15사람이 저희에게 외쳐 이르기를 부정하다 가라 가라, 가라, 만지지 말라 하였음이여 저희가 도망하여 방황할 때에 이방인이 이르기를 저희가 다시는 여기 거하지 못하리라 하였도다
16여호와께서 노하여 흩으시고 다시 권고치 아니하시리니 저희가 제사장들을 높이지 아니하였으며 장로들을 대접지 아니하였음이로다
17우리가 헛되이 도움을 바라므로 우리 눈이 상함이여 우리를 구원치 못할 나라를 바라보고 바라보았도다
18저희가 우리 자취를 엿보니 우리가 거리에 행할 수 없음이여 우리의 끝이 가깝고 우리의 날이 다하였고 우리의 마지막이 이르렀도다
19우리를 쫓는 자가 공중의 독수리보다 빠름이여 산꼭대기에서도 쫓고 광야에도 매복하였도다
20우리의 콧김 곧 여호와의 기름 부으신 자가 저희 함정에 빠졌음이여 우리가 저를 가리키며 전에 이르기를 우리가 저의 그늘 아래서 열국 중에 살겠다 하던 자로다
21우스 땅에 거하는 처녀 에돔아 즐거워하며 기뻐하려무나 잔이 네게도 이를찌니 네가 취하여 벌거벗으리라
22처녀 시온아 네 죄악의 형벌이 다하였으니 주께서 다시는 너로 사로잡혀 가지 않게 하시리로다 처녀 에돔아 주께서 네 죄악을 벌하시며 네 허물을 드러내시리로다
Lamentation04
1How the gold has lost its luster, the fine gold become dull! The sacred gems are scattered at the head of every street.
2How the precious sons of Zion, once worth their weight in gold, are now considered as pots of clay, the work of a potter's hands!
3Even jackals offer their breasts to nurse their young, but my people have become heartless like ostriches in the desert.
4Because of thirst the infant's tongue sticks to the roof of its mouth; the children beg for bread, but no one gives it to them.
5Those who once ate delicacies are destitute in the streets. Those nurtured in purple now lie on ash heaps.
6The punishment of my people is greater than that of Sodom, which was overthrown in a moment without a hand turned to help her.
7Their princes were brighter than snow and whiter than milk, their bodies more ruddy than rubies, their appearance like sapphires.
8But now they are blacker than soot; they are not recognized in the streets. Their skin has shriveled on their bones; it has become as dry as a stick.
9Those killed by the sword are better off than those who die of famine; racked with hunger, they waste away for lack of food from the field.
10With their own hands compassionate women have cooked their own children, who became their food when my people were destroyed.
11The LORD has given full vent to his wrath; he has poured out his fierce anger. He kindled a fire in Zion that consumed her foundations.
12The kings of the earth did not believe, nor did any of the world's people, that enemies and foes could enter the gates of Jerusalem.
13But it happened because of the sins of her prophets and the iniquities of her priests, who shed within her the blood of the righteous.
14Now they grope through the streets like men who are blind. They are so defiled with blood that no one dares to touch their garments.
15"Go away! You are unclean!" men cry to them. "Away! Away! Don't touch us!" When they flee and wander about, people among the nations say, "They can stay here no longer."
16The LORD himself has scattered them; he no longer watches over them. The priests are shown no honor, the elders no favor.
17Moreover, our eyes failed, looking in vain for help; from our towers we watched for a nation that could not save us.
18Men stalked us at every step, so we could not walk in our streets. Our end was near, our days were numbered, for our end had come.
19Our pursuers were swifter than eagles in the sky; they chased us over the mountains and lay in wait for us in the desert.
20The LORD's anointed, our very life breath, was caught in their traps. We thought that under his shadow we would live among the nations.
21Rejoice and be glad, O Daughter of Edom, you who live in the land of Uz. But to you also the cup will be passed; you will be drunk and stripped naked.
22O Daughter of Zion, your punishment will end; he will not prolong your exile. But, O Daughter of Edom, he will punish your sin and expose your wickedness.
예레미야애가5장
1여호와여 우리의 당한 것을 기억하시고 우리의 수욕을 감찰하옵소서
2우리 기업이 외인에게, 우리 집들도 외인에게 돌아갔나이다
3우리는 아비 없는 외로운 자식이오며 우리 어미는 과부 같으니
4우리가 은을 주고 물을 마시며 값을 주고 섶을 얻으오며
5우리를 쫓는 자는 우리 목을 눌렀사오니 우리가 곤비하여 쉴수 없나이다
6우리가 애굽 사람과 앗수르 사람과 악수하고 양식을 얻어 배불리고자 하였나이다
7우리 열조는 범죄하고 없어졌고 우리는 그 죄악을 담당하였나이다
8종들이 우리를 관할함이여 그 손에서 건져낼 자가 없나이다
9광야에는 칼이 있으므로 죽기를 무릅써야 양식을 얻사오니
10주림의 열기로 인하여 우리의 피부가 아궁이처럼 검으니이다
11대적이 시온에서 부녀들을, 유다 각 성에서 처녀들을 욕보였나이다
12방백들의 손이 매어달리며 장로들의 얼굴이 존경을 받지 못하나이다
13소년들이 맷돌을 지오며 아이들이 섶을 지다가 엎드러지오며
14노인은 다시 성문에 앉지 못하며 소년은 다시 노래하지 못하나이다
15우리 마음에 희락이 그쳤고 우리의 무도가 변하여 애통이 되었사오며
16우리 머리에서 면류관이 떨어졌사오니 오호라 우리의 범죄함을 인함이니이다
17이러므로 우리 마음이 피곤하고 이러므로 우리 눈이 어두우며
18시온산이 황무하여 여우가 거기서 노나이다
19여호와여 주는 영원히 계시오며 주의 보좌는 세세에 미치나이다
20주께서 어찌하여 우리를 영원히 잊으시오며 우리를 이같이 오래 버리시나이까
21여호와여 우리를 주께로 돌이키소서 그리하시면 우리가 주께로 돌아 가겠사오니 우리의 날을 다시 새롭게 하사 옛적 같게 하옵소서
22주께서 우리를 아주 버리셨사오며 우리에게 진노하심이 특심하시니이다
1Remember, O LORD, what has happened to us; look, and see our disgrace.
2Our inheritance has been turned over to aliens, our homes to foreigners.
3We have become orphans and fatherless, our mothers like widows.
4We must buy the water we drink; our wood can be had only at a price.
5Those who pursue us are at our heels; we are weary and find no rest.
6We submitted to Egypt and Assyria to get enough bread.
7Our fathers sinned and are no more, and we bear their punishment.
8Slaves rule over us, and there is none to free us from their hands.
9We get our bread at the risk of our lives because of the sword in the desert.
10Our skin is hot as an oven, feverish from hunger.
11Women have been ravished in Zion, and virgins in the towns of Judah.

13Young men toil at the millstones; boys stagger under loads of wood.
14The elders are gone from the city gate; the young men have stopped their music.
15Joy is gone from our hearts; our dancing has turned to mourning.
16The crown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned!
17Because of this our hearts are faint, because of these things our eyes grow dim
18for Mount Zion, which lies desolate, with jackals prowling over it.
