이사야31장
1도움을 구하러 애굽으로 내려가는 자들은 화 있을찐저 그들은 말을 의뢰하며 병거의 많음과 마병의 심히 강함을 의지하고 이스라엘의 거룩하신 자를 앙모치 아니하며 여호와를 구하지 아니하거니와
2여호와께서도 지혜로우신즉 재앙을 내리실 것이라 그 말을 변치 아니하시고 일어나사 악행하는 자의 집을 치시며 행악을 돕는 자를 치시리니
3애굽은 사람이요 신이 아니며 그 말들은 육체요 영이 아니라 여호와께서 그 손을 드시면 돕는 자도 넘어지며 도움을 받는 자도 엎드러져서 다 함께 멸망하리라
4여호와께서 이같이 내게 이르시되 큰 사자나 젊은 사자가 그 식물을 움키고 으르렁거릴 때에 그것을 치려고 여러 목자가 불려 왔다 할찌라도 그것이 그들의 소리로 인하여 놀라지 아니할 것이요 그들의 떠듦을 인하여 굴복지 아니할 것이라 이와 같이 나 만군의 여호와가 강림하여 시온산과 그 영 위에서 싸울 것이며
5새가 날개치며 그 새끼를 보호함 같이 나 만군의 여호와가 예루살렘을 보호할 것이라 그것을 호위하며 건지며 넘어와서 구원하리라 하셨나니
6이스라엘 자손들아 너희는 심히 거역하던 자에게로 돌아오라
7너희가 자기 손으로 만들어 범죄한 은우상, 금우상을 그 날에는 각 사람이 던져버릴 것이며
8앗수르는 칼에 엎더질 것이나 사람의 칼로 말미암음이 아니겠고 칼에 삼키울 것이나 여러 사람의 칼로 말미암음이 아닐 것이며 그는 칼 앞에서 도망할 것이요 그 장정들은 복역하는 자가 될 것이라
9그의 반석은 두려움을 인하여 물러가겠고 그의 방백들은 기호를 인하여 놀라리라 이는 여호와의 말씀이라 여호와의 불은 시온에 있고 여호와의 풀무는 예루살렘에 있느니라
Isaiah31
1Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the LORD.
2Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster; he does not take back his words. He will rise up against the house of the wicked, against those who help evildoers.
3But the Egyptians are men and not God; their horses are flesh and not spirit. When the LORD stretches out his hand, he who helps will stumble, he who is helped will fall; both will perish together.
4This is what the LORD says to me: 'As a lion growls, a great lion over his prey-and though a whole band of shepherds is called together against him, he is not frightened by their shouts or disturbed by their clamor-so the LORD Almighty will come down to do battle on Mount Zion and on its heights.
5Like birds hovering overhead, the LORD Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will 'pass over' it and will rescue it."
6Return to him you have so greatly revolted against, O Israelites.
7For in that day every one of you will reject the idols of silver and gold your sinful hands have made.
8'Assyria will fall by a sword that is not of man; a sword, not of mortals, will devour them. They will flee before the sword and their young men will be put to forced labor.
9Their stronghold will fall because of terror; at sight of the battle standard their commanders will panic,' declares the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, whose furnace is in Jerusalem.
이사야32장
1보라 장차 한 왕이 의로 통치할 것이요 방백들이 공평으로 정사할 것이며
2또 그 사람은 광풍을 피하는 곳, 폭우를 가리우는 곳 같을 것이며 마른 땅에 냇물 같을 것이며 곤비한 땅에 큰 바위 그늘 같으리니
3보는 자의 눈이 감기지 아니할 것이요 듣는 자의 귀가 기울어질 것이며
4조급한 자의 마음이 지식을 깨닫고 어눌한 자의 혀가 민첩하여 말을 분명히 할 것이라
5어리석은 자를 다시 존귀하다 칭하지 아니하겠고 궤휼한 자를 다시 정대하다 말하지 아니하리니
6이는 어리석은 자는 어리석은 것을 말하며 그 마음에 불의를 품어 간사를 행하며 패역한 말로 여호와를 거스리며 주린 자의 심령을 비게 하며 목마른 자의 마시는 것을 없어지게 함이며
7궤휼한 자는 그 그릇이 악하여 악한 계획을 베풀어 거짓말로 가련한 자를 멸하며 빈핍한 자가 말을 바르게 할찌라도 그리함이어니와
8고명한 자는 고명한 일을 도모하나니 그는 항상 고명한 일에 서리라
9너희 안일한 부녀들아 일어나 내 목소리를 들을찌어다 너희 염려 없는 딸들아 내 말에 귀를 기울일찌어다
10너희 염려 없는 여자들아 일년 남짓이 지나면 너희가 당황하여 하리니 포도 수확이 없으며 열매 거두는 기한이 이르지 않을 것임이니라
11너희 안일한 여자들아 떨찌어다 너희 염려 없는 자들아 당황하여 할찌어다 옷을 벗어 몸을 드러내고 베로 허리를 동일찌어다
12좋은 밭을 위하며 열매 많은 포도나무를 위하여 가슴을 치게 될 것이니라
13형극과 질려가 내 백성의 땅에 나며 희락의 성읍, 기뻐하는 모든 집에 나리니
14대저 궁전이 폐한바 되며 인구 많던 성읍이 적막하며 산과 망대가 영영히 굴혈이 되며 들 나귀의 즐겨하는 곳과 양떼의 풀 먹는 곳이 될 것임이어니와
15필경은 위에서부터 성신을 우리에게 부어주시리니 광야가 아름다운 밭이 되며 아름다운 밭을 삼림으로 여기게 되리라
16그 때에 공평이 광야에 거하며 의가 아름다운 밭에 있으리니
17의의 공효는 화평이요 의의 결과는 영원한 평안과 안전이라
18내 백성이 화평한 집과 안전한 거처와 종용히 쉬는 곳에 있으려니와
19먼저 그 삼림은 우박에 상하고 성읍은 파괴되리라
20모든 물가에 씨를 뿌리고 소와 나귀를 그리로 모는 너희는 복이 있느니라
Isaiah32
1See, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule with justice.
2Each man will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a thirsty land.
3Then the eyes of those who see will no longer be closed, and the ears of those who hear will listen.
4The mind of the rash will know and understand, and the stammering tongue will be fluent and clear.
5No longer will the fool be called noble nor the scoundrel be highly respected.
6For the fool speaks folly, his mind is busy with evil: He practices ungodliness and spreads error concerning the LORD; the hungry he leaves empty and from the thirsty he withholds water.
7The scoundrel's methods are wicked, he makes up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just.
8But the noble man makes noble plans, and by noble deeds he stands.
9You women who are so complacent, rise up and listen to me; you daughters who feel secure, hear what I have to say!
10In little more than a year you who feel secure will tremble; the grape harvest will fail, and the harvest of fruit will not come.
11Tremble, you complacent women; shudder, you daughters who feel secure! Strip off your clothes, put sackcloth around your waists.
12Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vines
13and for the land of my people, a land overgrown with thorns and briers-yes, mourn for all houses of merriment and for this city of revelry.
14The fortress will be abandoned, the noisy city deserted; citadel and watchtower will become a wasteland forever, the delight of donkeys, a pasture for flocks,
15till the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the desert becomes a fertile field, and the fertile field seems like a forest.
16Justice will dwell in the desert and righteousness live in the fertile field.
17The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.
18My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.
19Though hail flattens the forest and the city is leveled completely,
20how blessed you will be, sowing your seed by every stream, and letting your cattle and donkeys range free.
