이사야 38장~39장 Isaiah38~39
이사야38장
1그 즈음에 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 되니 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야가 나아와 그에게 이르되 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 너는 네 집에 유언하라 네가 죽고 살지 못하리라 하셨나이다
2히스기야가 얼굴을 벽으로 향하고 여호와께 기도하여
3가로되 여호와여 구하오니 내가 주의 앞에서 진실과 전심으로 행하며 주의 목전에서 선하게 행한 것을 추억하옵소서 하고 심히 통곡하니
4이에 여호와의 말씀이 이사야에게 임하니라 가라사대
5너는 가서 히스기야에게 이르기를 네 조상 다윗의 하나님 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 내가 네 기도를 들었고 네 눈물을 보았노라 내가 네 수한에 십 오년을 더하고
6너와 이 성을 앗수르 왕의 손에서 건져내겠고 내가 또 이 성을 보호하리라
7나 여호와가 말한 것을 네게 이룰 증거로 이 징조를 네게 주리라
8보라 아하스의 일영표에 나아갔던 해 그림자를 뒤로 십도를 물러가게 하리라 하셨다 하라 하시더니 이에 일영표에 나아갔던 해의 그림자가 십도를 물러가니라
9유다 왕 히스기야가 병들었다가 그 병이 나을 때에 기록한 글이 이러하니라
10내가 말하기를 내가 중년에 음부의 문에 들어가고 여년을 빼앗기게 되리라 하였도다
11내가 또 말하기를 내가 다시는 여호와를 뵈옵지 못하리니 생존세계에서 다시는 여호와를 뵈옵지 못하겠고 내가 세상 거민 중에서 한 사람도 다시는 보지 못하리라 하였도다
12나의 거처는 목자의 장막을 걷음 같이 나를 떠나 옮겼고 내가 내 생명을 말기를 직공이 베를 걷어 말음 같이 하였도다 주께서 나를 틀에서 끊으시리니 나의 명이 조석간에 마치리이다
13내가 아침까지 견디었사오나 주께서 사자 같이 나의 모든 뼈를 꺾으시오니 나의 명이 조석간에 마치리이다
14나는 제비 같이, 학 같이 지저귀며 비둘기 같이 슬피 울며 나의 눈이 쇠하도록 앙망하나이다 여호와여 내가 압제를 받사오니 나의 중보가 되옵소서
15주께서 내게 말씀하시고 또 친히 이루셨사오니 내가 무슨 말씀을 하오리이까 내 영혼의 고통을 인하여 내가 종신토록 각근히 행하리이다
16주여 사람의 사는 것이 이에 있고 내 심령의 생명도 온전히 거기 있사오니 원컨대 나를 치료하시며 나를 살려주옵소서
17보옵소서 내게 큰 고통을 더하신 것은 내게 평안을 주려 하심이라 주께서 나의 영혼을 사랑하사 멸망의 구덩이에서 건지셨고 나의 모든 죄는 주의 등 뒤에 던지셨나이다
18음부가 주께 사례하지 못하며 사망이 주를 찬양하지 못하며 구덩이에 들어간 자가 주의 신실을 바라지 못하되
19오직 산 자 곧 산 자는 오늘날 내가 하는 것과 같이 주께 감사하며 주의 신실을 아비가 그 자녀에게 알게 하리이다
20여호와께서 나를 구원하시리니 우리가 종신토록 여호와의 전에서 수금으로 나의 노래를 노래하리로다
21이사야는 이르기를 한 뭉치 무화과를 취하여 종처에 붙이면 왕이 나으리라 하였었고
22히스기야도 말하기를 내가 여호와의 전에 올라갈 징조가 무엇이뇨 하였었더라
Isaiah38
1In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, 'This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.'
2Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,
3'Remember, O LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.' And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
4Then the word of the LORD came to Isaiah:
5"Go and tell Hezekiah, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life.
6And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city.
7" 'This is the LORD's sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised:
8I will make the shadow cast by the sun go back the ten steps it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.' " So the sunlight went back the ten steps it had gone down.
9A writing of Hezekiah king of Judah after his illness and recovery:
10I said, 'In the prime of my life must I go through the gates of death and be robbed of the rest of my years?'
11I said, 'I will not again see the LORD, the LORD, in the land of the living; no longer will I look on mankind, or be with those who now dwell in this world.
12Like a shepherd's tent my house has been pulled down and taken from me. Like a weaver I have rolled up my life, and he has cut me off from the loom; day and night you made an end of me.
13I waited patiently till dawn, but like a lion he broke all my bones; day and night you made an end of me.
14I cried like a swift or thrush, I moaned like a mourning dove. My eyes grew weak as I looked to the heavens. I am troubled; O Lord, come to my aid!'
15But what can I say? He has spoken to me, and he himself has done this. I will walk humbly all my years because of this anguish of my soul.
16Lord, by such things men live; and my spirit finds life in them too. You restored me to health and let me live.
17Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back.
18For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
19The living, the living-they praise you, as I am doing today; fathers tell their children about your faithfulness.
20The LORD will save me, and we will sing with stringed instruments all the days of our lives in the temple of the LORD.
21Isaiah had said, 'Prepare a poultice of figs and apply it to the boil, and he will recover.'
22Hezekiah had asked, 'What will be the sign that I will go up to the temple of the LORD?'

1그 때에 발라단의 아들 바벨론 왕 므로닥발라단이 히스기야가 병 들었다가 나았다 함을 듣고 글과 예물을 보낸지라
2히스기야가 사자를 인하여 기뻐하여 그에게 궁중 보물 곧 은금과 향료와 보배로운 기름과 모든 무기고와 보물고에 있는 것을 다 보였으니 궁중의 소유와 전 국내의 소유를 보이지 아니한 것이 없은지라
3이에 선지자 이사야가 히스기야왕에게 나아와 묻되 그 사람들이 무슨 말을 하였으며 어디서 왕에게 왔나이까 히스기야가 가로되 그들이 원방 곧 바벨론에서 내게 왔나이다
4이사야가 가로되 그들이 왕의 궁전에서 무엇을 보았나이까 히스기야가 대답하되 그들이 내 궁전에 있는 것을 다 보았나이다 내 보물은 보이지 아니한 것이 하나도 없나이다
5이사야가 히스기야에게 이르되 왕은 만군의 여호와의 말씀을 들으소서
6보라 날이 이르리니 네 집에 있는 모든 소유와 네 열조가 오늘까지 쌓아둔 것이 모두 바벨론으로 옮긴바 되고 남을 것이 없으리라 여호와의 말이니라
7또 네게서 날 자손 중에서 몇이 사로잡혀 바벨론 왕궁의 환관이 되리라 하셨나이다
8히스기야가 이사야에게 이르되 당신의 이른바 여호와의 말씀이 좋소이다 또 가로되 나의 생전에는 평안과 견고함이 있으리로다 하니라
Isaiah39
1At that time Merodach-Baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent Hezekiah letters and a gift, because he had heard of his illness and recovery.
2Hezekiah received the envoys gladly and showed them what was in his storehouses-the silver, the gold, the spices, the fine oil, his entire armory and everything found among his treasures. There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.
3Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah and asked, 'What did those men say, and where did they come from?' 'From a distant land,' Hezekiah replied. 'They came to me from Babylon.'
4The prophet asked, 'What did they see in your palace?' 'They saw everything in my palace,' Hezekiah said. 'There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them.'
5Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, 'Hear the word of the LORD Almighty:
6The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD.
7And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.'
8'The word of the LORD you have spoken is good,' Hezekiah replied. For he thought, 'There will be peace and security in my lifetime.'
